He has made the teams younger and more athletic-true. Does younger or athletic translate to success on the court no! He reshuffled the dek but the end game is the same, the smirk is the same, ownership is the same. On the hockey side -Dolan admittedly knew little and turned it over to a professional with a track record. The new man, with his new found wealth, tried a new way-buy a winning team-it didn't work so he went back to his past and transformed the team the way he built the old one and now the hockey future looks bright.

What is in IT's executive past that he can go back to-nothing. He can only flounder and claw and search and pray and play golf with Dolan.

WTF are you talking about. The Rangers made the playoffs after a 7 year hiatus under Sather, who acquired washed up superstar left and right, fired coaches, hired coaches, coached himself, and hired more. People been calling for Sather's head so long that it stretches back to the last millenia, and they just gave up. This is the one man in NY that makes Thomas looks like a genius. What saved the Rangers, oh just a goddamn lockout by the owners to forced a salary cap and allow teams to get rid of those guarantee contracts. What was the end results, a team that collapse towards the end of a season and a first round sweep at the hands of their biggest rivals. Hell the Knicks did that under Thomas 2 years, ago. If anything, the Rangers are still trying to catch up to where the Knicks are.
