I hate man up threads, but all this "I'm gonna stop rooting for the Knicks" stuff is just damn tiresome.

Talk around it all you want, but threatening to stop rooting shows that you are more loyal to Larry "Du-Du" Brown, Mr. 23-59, than the team itself.

Larry hasn't been anymore kind to us than Marbury, Isiah or even Dolan.

I am manning up! I want the team to win even if Emmanuel Lewis is the coach, Mr. T is the GM, and Mr. Burns is the owner!

And all of you who decide to man up as no longer rooting will hear from me during the regular season.

I will ALWAYS root for the Knicks.
My NBA season ends the minute the Knicks are out of it.
I cross my fingers we can obtain the assets we need to fill the holes on defense.
I also hope we can trade Francis for a defensive stud.
Regardless... I will root for the knicks despite who coaches and who plays...

The only way I will ever follow or be a fan of an NBA aside from the Knicks is if my kid plays for one. Now, I'm not watching garbage, so I feel no responsibility to tune in or buy tickets.
Pretty much since McDyess broke his knee I've curbed my enthusiasm and taken each Knick move with a bucket of salt. Also, while I hope Jerome James and Malik Rose become and all star tandem in the front court I'm not holding my breath there. Sadly, what you see in life is usually what you get. If you see selfish players and guys that are out of shape all the time its probably because you have a roster of selfish players and guys that are out of shape.
So while I wont switch my allegence pardon me if I do close my eyes for some extended periods of time.

but haven't the playoffs been pretty good viewing? I missed the first round and haven't really watched the second round, but the highlights seemed cool.

Lebron growing up before our eyes.
The clipper resurgant, phoenix and kobe, the baby bulls.
Mavs and spurs...artest and the league. Playoff fouls, etc.

And more to come...

dallas v. detroit

Come on fishy...atleast say you'll watch the playoffs...come on.

havent watched more than 15-20 minutes of any single game. Watching Lebron "blossum" just reminds me of how hard we worked to get 37 wins in a draft with Amare, Darko, Lebron, Wade, Carmelo and Bosh. Just when the Knicks manage to buy their way into the first round this is the guy thats going to be kicking us out every year for the next 10. Yea... great.

Honestly, when the Knicks are this awfull BB just depresses me. I'm a Yankee season ticket holder so thats where my sports fix comes from. Also I play CF and pitch for a travelling hardball team. We are only 1-2 but lost both those games by 1 run each, and we have a big tourney coming up in Mass over memorial day weekend. So I'm juiced for that.
Thanks to Zeke I'm pretty much in F*CK basketball mode right now.

Even if they win 1 game all of next year I'll still be a Knicks fan. I might need 24 hour surveillance and a padded room, but I'll be wearing an orange and blue straight jacket.

I'v said before and I'll say it again, switching teams is impossible. Its gonna be fake if you do that anyways. You'll alwasy know you are really rootin for the old one.

But boycotting the team is a whole different story. I think that when we say we are not gonna root for this team, we man we are not gonna root for it until the leadership changes and they start showing the fans the care about winning.

As for those who thinks thats being a panzie, f@ck of mother@ckers. Go suck on IT shlung some more.

boycotting the team is alot different from switching teams. Fans have every right to boycott something they think is wrong. But if conforted you must always admit to being a fan, I think it is in the Constitution or the Bible or something like that.

btw, if I posted like this, I would be gone, no doubt.
