This is a little far fetched...But, at the end of next season, Bron Bron will be a restricted free agent and weilding massive power to force a sign a trade deal...LeBron has a clause in his contract that pays him a hefty bonus if he plays in New York or Los Angeles..I think to the tune of 90-100 mil over 5 years...Let's say that LeBron does not get the pieces to be competitive in Cleveland in the next year or so..Could it be possible for him to look for a way out of the hometown of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?...Yes, Hell yes...If so, where will he go?...He can go just about anywhere, LA might be a good place but Kobe already owns that spotlight...New York is the next choice...LeBron and his hype was made for Broadway..I can't think of another place Bron Bron can maximize his earning potential the way he would be able to at MSG...This is a marketing marriage made in heaven...Which brings me to Larry Brown...There was no way in hell LeBron was coming here with Larry Brown as head coach..No way, not after the Olympic episode...Could it be possible that Dolan is angling to make a run at LeBron or possible set the table for LeBron to consider playing ball in Gotham...Now I'm not saying this is the reason that Larry is being bought out...But if the Knicks do have a chance of making a play for LeBron and the organization know it better than we do, there is no way that Larry Brown coaching this team could ever help that process...So with Larry Brown's antics this pass season obviously not playing well with Dolan...So for Dolan, given all the circus atmosphere that surrounded this team all year and this won't get better at the gates next year without a change...With all the things that went down this season...We had our worst season ever as a franchise under LB...And lastly, Larry being here may complicate the possible signing of Bron Bron at the end of next season, well guys, in that light, the decision seems easy to me...

I share the same thoughts as Calvin and Hobbes
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

Bip I know it's a little out there but tell me this, you don't think that LeBron will think about playing on this stage?

Open your god damn eyes holfresh.

No way, no how.

To get LeBron you need a person who is creative enough to construct a deal like that and the Knicks don't have anyone creative enough to paint a picture.

I know it's nuts but there is a 100 million USD bonus if he comes to NY or LA...Now who in sports won't jump at that...Who in sport can walk away from 100 miL bonus?...Can you....

Management loves guys like you. Everytime we hit rock bottom they find a scapegoat, fire that guy. Guys like you are happy and off and searching for the next fantasy trade or scenario.

There is a reason we haven't had anyone close to Lebron in the last 7 years. There is a reason we end up with everyone else's castoffs. And it ain't Larry Brown.

We aren't going to get lucky and have a savior demand to come here until we change this goshdarn organization. We are a laughingstock. Why is this so hard to see? Who wants to come here?

It's one thing to needle when you have half a brain and have a point.. it's another thing to do it with the route your taking.

Lighten up Bip..Your boy got his just deserves...He was terrible and wanted to hold the organization hostage until he got his way....Say what you want about building a winning attitude, Larry's antics was poisonous not matter how you slice it....Brown undid himself and had to relieved of his duties..Sticking with Brown was have been disasterous, plain and simple...So we start over again...This one is on Larry and no one else...

Holfresh you remind me of my wife's cat. I sit at my desk and I try to do work. He jumps up and plays with all my paperwork sending it everywhere. I knock him down and he jumps right back up. He continues to do it for at least 5-6 minutes. Now I love the cat and don't wish him ill will but after a while I realize that he is never going to get the message from me. So I instead put him outside of the room and close the door. I love the cat to death but when I'm working our relationship will never progress beyond him attacking my paperwork. H

I look at you the same way. You're cute and cuddly and I enjoy having you on the site but our conversations will never progress beyond what they are. I'm sure you have great conversations with other posters about the knicks. But with me our relationship will never progress beyond you calling me a Larry lover. All the hours of conversation and that's what it boils down to for you. But since I'm pretty sure that the depth of your conversation can extend beyond that of a 12 year old, I'm not ready to close the door yet though so let's try a new topic.

What are your thoughts on Marbury? I have been accused of being a Marbury lover because early in the season I defended him vehemently when fans were blaming the season on him. He was just another scapegoat. I still don't think he has much to do with our current situation as a franchise. But I do think it's time to make a decision. And for me that decision is to go in a different direction.
