I Became a KNick fan when Walt Frazier was the leader.

I stuck thu the Starphuching 80's, enjoyed the brief Bernard days, and all hailed the Savior Patrick 1990s.

THe knicks were not always a source of pride, but the laughing stock of the sporting world is a bit too far.

This past season I tried not see losses, but note the rookies play. Eddies potential, and took pride in Larry not yielding to his players and sticking to fundamentals. I was proud Isiah went and got this nutjob to finally take the franchise in the right direction. Sure his verbal quotes were not the right thing, but its no big deal.

We exile the pouting Marbury and move forward.

Now we hear dolan is the worlds biggest ***** and wants to buy larry out cuz he don't like the public display? At the same time we have AnuchaGate looming? Could have paid her off and kept it all quiet does not bother his senses but larry calling out Starbury does?

Forget Larry for a moment, but lets find reasons to like this franchise. I am not coming up with many reasons.

Ever since Dolan got his greasy fingers on this team its been nothing but a botched up sham.

Brooklyn gonna have a new team soon. I got roots with Dr. J and the Nets. I come from Brooklyn, and Im a pissed off knick fan doubting my loyalty. The Nets have bonafide superstars and a plan. Rod Thorn thinks. Ratner has a plan. We have the laughing stock of the professional sports teams.

If anyone is scouting the internet from the organization to take the pulse of reaction let it be told I am disgusted lifelong fan and have put up with many many stupid moves, but I must say that the last 4 years have been the most ignorant collection of organizational decisions ever strung together. They are clueless and without any direction what so ever.

Can I turn my back after 35 years? I don't know? But I am disgusted by my favorite team, embarrassed, and have no faith what so ever in the future. It just seems everything we do is just to get by, not to strive for excellence.

Just make the playoffs is not even close. I thought last season would have been the start ofa new culture. Its tough to change. Its painful to turn around a culture. It would appear our ownership is too stupid to even have decent advisors.

I hope Anucha takes these fools to the cleaners!

I feel the same way. Being from Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Nets do provide a certain appeal, now can I change from being a hardcore Knick fan? Like Nalod said, I have no idea.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

It's sad. The New York Knicks were once a proud organization and a proud basketball team, one of the best organizations in sports. Now? James Dolan makes George Bush look a saint.

Uh oh.

There's the dark side . . .

and then there's the FREAKING NETS FOR CHRIST SAKE!!

look at it this way - you do get to hear Marv. But you do have to watch Collins.

i know what's it like, though. i made the big move from the celtics to the knicks. biggest decision of my life. much much bigger than stuff like whether to get married, have kids, believe in god or not, bite the left cheek or the right cheek. none of that matters - it was switching nba teams that defined my life!!!

but you should just keep one thing in mind . . IF you do make the switch. . . .

we're gonna find you.

oh, you'll be findable. there'll be some nets board, with some poster named ddik, or retrac or ffej or nroht or something. we'll know.

then you know what we'll do?

that's right.

we'll all join that board.

you know what our names will be?

bonn1. bonn2. bonn3. bonn4. bonn5. bonn6. bonn7. etc. etc. etc.

and we will snit each and every post you make on that nets board.

but take your time. it's a big decision.

we all understand.

I just wont watch hoops. I pretty much stopped watching this year after we got Francis. I followed the team, caught some games but didnt really care. Cant afford too. Whats ironic is that Isiah's job was probably saved because of Anuchagate. Only thing keeping him around his he's a scumbag.

Who knows... maybe the player win me over, but this group is hard to watch.

Reasons to like this team?

One of the most exciting young cores we've ever had, watching them get better and watching them play a style that suits their abilities, which Brown would never have done.

I watch these playoffs and I know that guys like Nate, Lee, Craw would fit. Curry needs to improve, and he's a giant IF, but IF he can this team can be a playoff team with a young core. Sure there are ifs, but I really think people are freaking out and undervaluing what we have here. And that's understandable after a season of Larry disparaging every player on the roster and ESPN/TNT making fun of us every night. But the thing you have to realize is Larry was trying to get control of the team and make Isiah look bad. I guess he did in some people's eyes, but REALLY, LArry Brown is the one at fault for last season. If you're telling me this team isn't talented or that it was a bunch of mismatched parts, I don't believe you. Brown never stuck with a lineup long enough to know the parts weren't matched correctly.

Reasons to like this team?

Seeing how good Nate can get.

Seeing if Crawford continues to become a complete player/leader.

Seeing how good Frye can be.

Seeing if Lee can develop a jumper and become a starter.

Seeing if Curry can get his legs back over the summer and become a dominant force on offense.

Seeing if Qrich can find his shot and stay healthy.

it's really not as bad as Larry made it seem, and what people need to realize is that he made it seem bad for a reason.

Wow, if Jim Dolan is reading this forum he's creaming his pants after reading this post. At the same time he's finding your mailing address so he can send you a package of season tickets.

Get the hell out, no team that is managed like his is worth your time or money. I arent buying anything that has to do with the Knicks as long as IT is the gm, and I'm NOT going to watch games unless my freinds are (I arent flippin the channel on them just cuase I hate the team) which amounts to like 8 games all year.

I hope the garden is empty next year. I hope they sell the team. Hope is the last one to go I guess.

Right now Im a bigger fan of this site than the underlying team. In fact this site kinda rekindled my interest as I had not many to talk knicks to prior to joining over 3 years ago.

But things change. Bonn is more guarded and hardly says anything. Dido is gone. Islesfans is back in exile, Hardcore seems to have lost his lust, and player too has gone.

Sure I enjoy the banter here, but the team is really a bad one to root for. This is worse than anything Steinbrenner did in the "ellis Burks" era. Or the Mets "bonilla" or "valentine" era's.

Im afraid also that we just gave Starbury a jolt of confidence like never seen before. For all the pouting and towel hiding, he comes out the winner! Isiah emerges even stronger. Starphuching prevails over fundamentalism!

Every team dumps the Starbury and instead we empower. Teams dump GMs who create these disasters instead we put Isiahs nose in it. OTher teams complain about losing money, ours seems to relish in it. We waste tens of millions Each year. We paid like $60 million in taxes. We paid Allan, we paid Shandon, we paid Lenny, we paid Vin Baker, we pay we pay everyone.

And Dolan is putting Isiah in this mess cuz he don't want to pay another coach $5million? WTF is that? What about Herb?

Public controversy? Did not want to pay Anuch a few mil to make it disapper? These guys are full of $hit! Liars and hipocrites!

There is a good book to be written here.

i will still watch the games, but i won't buy another Knicks ticket until i see a vision that makes sense being put into effect for this franchise... i have a feeling it's going to be a long, long time until i go to another Knicks game at the garden.

Same here for me.. Ever since buffoon owner dolan took the reigns from his dad, it's been team turmoil from hell ever since..

it's sad but former president of the Knicks Dave Checketts predicted this would happen..

Having a incompetent management team with no sense of vision or direction is clearly what we're witnessing over here..

This is worse than the Bush administration..

I will never forget when he was offically owner of the team, held usless meetings with the team 3x a week... During one of the meetings, Spree and camby had felt they were wasting their time so they left .. That's when Dolan ordered Scott Laydown to do whatever it takes to get rid of Spree and Camby.

Within a yr, they both were gone!

The Future. GO KNICKS!

I don't think there is anything wrong with jumping ship, yes you still care about the team and want them to win, but loyalty means nothing in this league....

Everyone that has a problem with Isiah or Marbury has been shown the door, the managment team is laughable, no one in the organization has any business sense.....

They trash sprewell in the media before trading him
They destroy what little trade value each player has by public remarks

Seriously **** the Knicks and the organization, Dolan actually cut back on ushers this year making it much hard to enter the garden and he is about to give Larry a 40 million dollar buy out this is the same mother****er who had Marv Albert fired over honest commentating and blamed it on Marv wanting a higher salary.....

Why not pay Anucha, fine Larry anytime he negatively portrays someone, or allow the spending to get out of control....Only on the Knicks can they make Isiah the highest paid general manager with no credentials the highest paid man at his position allow him to add 30 million in payroll, run through coaches all while buying them out and still have a job.....

THIS ORGANIZATION HAS NO LOYALTY SO WHY BE LOYAL is the greater question, they are the worst run operation and the worst organization in every league.
