Some people just can't play defense. Marbs is a decent defender but not Alvin Robertson like most of you want.

Marbs is a good post defender. He denys the post well and its hard to try and post him up cuz he is so damn strong.

Ask marbs to stop a guy from blowing past him and that is a different story. Still not many people in the world can keep up with some of these NBA point guards. They are just too many explosive talents at point guard.

I tell you what. If I ever get the opportunity to coach I will teach defense like a mofo. My son is playing ball now at age 11 and I got him looking like mookie blalock out there! He lives off of steals and breakaways!

Bro, It doesn't matter, you're pissing in the wind...Looking at the playoffs, because of the rule changes, you see guards being beaten on the perimeter left and right in every game...Jason kidd who is considered one of the better defenders in the game at the position has been torched the last few years in the playoffs...I remember Tony Parker just lighting him up just before he resigned with the Nets and then Anthony Johnson just going to town on KIdd during their series with Indiana...My point is that it is difficult to contain a perimeter player in the NBA...It's just not Marbs, it's everyone and I mean everyone...No one ever ask how is it possible that Marbs gets to the rim any time he wants...But he does...But as far as these fans are concerned, Marbs doesn't play defense and the rest of the league does...

Some are habitually named to the all defense team, and some are not.

Those that are are better at it, and the team suceeds more.

Yeah, Kidd got torched in the playoffs. Not STarbury. He's home.

Kidd got tourched in the finals. Not Starbury, he don't go to finals.

Kidd gets to play against the better more successful guards in the playoffs. Kidd don't play Starbury. Why, Starburys teams don't succeed.
