THIS IS CRAZY!!!! we're gonna buy out a hall of fame coach after 1 dam season??.....MAKES NO SENSE TO ME

Change the title to include "should Isiah coach the Knicks".

He sucked, **** happens. I just dont want Isiah to coach in NYC.

I agree he sucked and him bashing our players all over the media was awful, but shouldnt we give him at least another season to turn this thing around?

yes we should but we cannot argue with someone that says LB has to go. Maybe he is old, maybe he cannot coach these guys, we cannot be certain.

To be fair, Isiah was one bad call on Ron Mercer, from eliminating the eventual Eastern Conference champion NJ Nets from the first round of the playoffs as an eigth seed...........

Three separate polls:
(a) Should Larry be bought out? Yes, unless he can adequately explain why he created an atmosphere of laziness by playing the lazy and benching the hard working players.
(b) Should Isiah be hired coach? I don't know enough about him as a coach to answer the question.
(c) Should Isiah remain GM? Based on the players he's brought in, no.

I didn't think Larry Brown did a good job this season, but give him at least another full year to decide. Way too early to buy him out

That would be true if it was just about X and Os. Larry made no attempt to confirm to Dolan's style of media relations.

Don't buy him out, because its typical Brown antics. Also, Thomas doesn't want to coach obviously or he would have after he let go of Chaney and Wilkens resigned/fired. He said he doesn't want to coach. This is an issue directly between the owner and the coach. The owner wants to buyout a coach making alot of money but doesn't want to spend more money on another coach. The owner feels comfortable in the fact that Thomas has coaching experience, may even feel he is a better fit. Obviously the owner is more comfortable with the GM then he is with the current coach. You don't know what's going on and who's in Dolan's ears. The real issue is what did Brown do to get a supportive guy like Dolan to say get rid of his ass, pronto. To me that's more surprising.

I think it goes beyond just that. I can't wait til the tell all book comes out. But I think Dolan was more offended by the Francis and to lesser degree the Rose trades that by all accounts that Brown asked for or sign off on particularly Francis where he admitted to requesting for. That's is a serious issue with a lot of money involve. These players were not utilize or fault was constantly attributed to them. As an owner you begin to think of what this coach's agenda really is.

That's funny coming from Dolan considering the way he let Isiah Thomas offend Don Chaneys sense of propreity by the way they fired him 2.5 years ago.

If this happens then its typical new york knicks...just another wrong wrong move by Dolan. We are never going to have a franchise player and we're never going to play defense ever. Get ready for another decade of 2nd round exits

That's funny coming from Dolan considering the way he let Isiah Thomas offend Don Chaneys sense of propreity by the way they fired him 2.5 years ago.

That was bad but not that bad as it was protrayed. It was bad in the sense that Thomas allowed Chaney come to the MSG with the impression that he was going to coach that nite. Doesn't match what Brown did throughout the year. Still waiting for someone to explain what Brown was trying to accomplish with Francis after requesting, or if you listen to his quotes in "Isiah's ear to get him" Marbury I can understand abit but not to the degree that Brown went. Hell Brown had issues with Dolan and Thomas when they went to players and told them do not get into with Brown. The man took that to the press.

Larry can't coach the "talent."

Therefore, it's cheaper to move Larry.

yeah its unfortunate. Who in their right mind is going to want Marbury, Francis etc. I was hoping we could trade for Kmart because Larry loves him but screw it. I could careless about this team right now
