One of my buddy's sent me this, very interesting.........

Read this question, come up with an answer and then scroll down to the bottom for the result.
This is not a trick question. It is as it reads. No one I know has got it right.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to be her dream guy so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she killed her
sister.

Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?

[Give this some thought before you answer, see answer below]

Answer:

She was hoping the guy would appear at the funeral again. If you answered
this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test by a famous
American Psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a
killer

Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly.

If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you!

Wow that is REALLY good.

My guess was that the guy was dating her sister so she killed her sister to get the guy, but i had to insert a big assumption in there. The psychopathic thinking is much more elegant.

I've always thought that med students/doctors must have a close psychological profile to that of psychopaths... During anatomy class we cut open bodies with scapels and use chainsaws... during surgeries we open up live people on the OR table... and we dont ever flinch or think twice. It's interesting that we are able to do these things and it is socially acceptable since it is for "science" and "healing."

The "crying game syndrome!"

Case, Being able to carve up bodies and eating tuna sandwitches at the same time is gross, but not psychopathic. Killing your sis to meet a man is the kinda egocentric. Now if you killed the donor body cuz there was a cute student you wanted to meet again and you knew she would sign up for that particular cadavor, well thats another story.

Or if you really wanted steph traded, you talk about him in the press knowing his mother taught him to stand up for himself and that he would cocoon himself with scowl towels and that catapiller would emerge into a beautiful "starbury" butterfly that would self destruct and give IsiahBury cause to trade him with public support.

now that is interesting. so maybe instead of trying to raise the "beside manner' of MD's we should leave them the F alone to focus on their tasks and use more PA's, RN's and SW'ers to interface with patients on their behalves. I've run across many MD's who seem to follow this approach. WHat are your thoughts personally about this Case, and is this indeed a trend? is this discussed openly among doctors?

I'm a med student. I know increasingly nurses/PAs/NPs/RNs/residents etc are used to interface with patients with physicians serving as supervisors and script (Rx) writers. This isnt really anything that groundbreaking - the "physician extenders" are now commonplace. I dont think doctors want to avoid bedside manner though - that's important.
