Anyone see this thing they're doing on espn...having all-time teams go up against each other...I was a little surprised to see H2O on there, but what do you guys think?

NEW YORK KNICKS ROSTER (* PER = Player Efficiency Rating)
POS PLAYER HT YEAR AGE PTS REB AST PER
G WALT FRAZIER 6-4 1970 24 20.9 6.0 8.2 21.1
Comment: Reed hobbled on the court in Game 7 in '70, but Clyde was MVP of game with 36 pts, 19 assists, 5 steals
G EARL MONROE 6-3 1975 30 20.9 4.2 3.5 17.7
Comment: Biggest scoring years came with Baltimore Bullets before trade to Knicks, where Monroe curtailed scoring to fit in with team
G ALLAN HOUSTON 6-6 2003 31 22.5 2.8 2.7 17.7
Comment: OK, his contract was terrible, but Houston could shoot the ball with the best of them
G RICHIE GUERIN 6-4 1962 29 29.5 6.4 6.9 21.2
Comment: Fireplug from the early days; sixth in NBA in scoring in '62 while being named 2nd-team All-NBA
F/G BILL BRADLEY 6-5 1973 29 16.1 3.7 4.5 13.9
Comment: Truth be told: he's overrated as an NBA player, but was key member of two title teams; '73 was only All-Star appearance
F BERNARD KING 6-7 1985 28 32.9 5.8 3.7 25.2
Comment: Was unstoppable in '85 until blowing out knee in March; best move was posting up defender and spinning away for a quick jump shot
F BOB MCADOO 6-9 1978 26 26.5 12.8 3.8 22.0
Comment: Was an MVP and led NBA in scoring three times with Buffalo; had a big year in his one full season with Knicks
F CHARLES OAKLEY 6-8 1990 26 14.6 11.9 2.4 15.9
Comment: He could probably still go out there, grab 10 boards per game and knock a few opponents into the first row
C PATRICK EWING 7-0 1990 27 28.6 10.9 2.2 25.8
Comment: Only year he made 1st-team All-NBA; third in league in scoring; good defender who was second in league in blocks (4.0) in '90
C WILLIS REED 6-9 1970 27 21.7 13.9 2.0 20.3
Comment: Knicks won the title as Reed was MVP and 1st-team All-NBA and all-defensive

SCOUTING REPORT: Look for Knicks to start Frazier, Monroe, King, Oakley and Ewing, with McAdoo coming off the bench for instant offense and Reed to bang some bodies. Against Sixers in first round, will try to exploit size advantage, especially in the backcourt with Frazier, Monroe and Houston. Knicks will work to slow the game. Big men must stay out of foul trouble against Chamberlain, Barkley and Dr. J and Ewing vs. Wilt battle will be fun to watch.

H20 IS A career 19.5 avg scorer in the post season.. he also has a shooting pct of over 42 pct in the post season.

He'll be knowned for that basket vs. miami and single-handedly took out Indiana in game 6 of the eastern conference finals.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

Allan over Dick Barnett? Unh-unh.

1966 29 NYK NBA 75 34.5 8.4 17.9 6.2 8.1 4.1 3.5 3.1 23.1

23 points, 4 boards, 4 assists. Who remembers "Fall back, baby?"

And who remembers the McAdoo cheer: "McAdoo McAdon't McAwill McAwon't." It was not flattering.

Weird to see Dave Debussure on the Detroit list. But I understand.

Given the parameters, its a great list!

Tears almost came to my eyes after seeing Ewings '90 stats...Man, today's Knicks just seem so far from the Knicks of yester year...Real sad Sh!t to be honest...

I'll take Ewing, BKing,H20,Clyde and Oak to battle any comers...Lakers had a tough squad, so does the Celtics...I'm not ever worried about the Bulls...Spurs would be able to hold their own as well...

that whole roster is impressive, with houston included. just the fact that we thought curry would be the answer to the void left by ewing makes me sick to my stomach.

DeBuscherre has to be on any such list for it to not be laughable.
