Crawford is a better passer and ballhandler than S Jax., Craw is a 1-2 tweener. S. Jax is better at attacking the rim, isn't afraid of contact and is oversized at 6-8 hes a 2-3 tweener. Defensively I'd say S.Jax is better, but not by alot.

I'd take Stephen Jackson. He doesn't have breakout games like Crawford, but even Jackson is more consistent than Crawford, and Jackson ain't consistent. I just don't trust Crawford to play well with any consistency. When he is good he is good, but when he is bad, he is BAD!

He's more consistant and hes better defensively. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Plus with craws ability to take over, I think he would help Indy get over the hump.

Indy ain't trading for Crawford.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

does lb forget about the incident in detroit where sjax becomes a wild man and runs into the crowd? does dolan bring on a player like that?

here's the deal, in a season where we had so many off court issues, bringing in another distraction is not what this team needs. it needs to subtract distractions, not add them.

it doesn't matter to me who stays or goes, but it does matter who comes back. sjax doesn't work for us.

Jackson is a tough defender, much more consistent scorer, and he has a body that can actually play multiple positions while Crawford's doesn't really fit any position. I'd do the trade without hesitation.

i wouldnt do it.

being clutch is an intangible you can't overlook...

i think steve Jack-some is a knicky at heart, but i wouldnt give up crawford to get him.

(maybe if you expand the trade to get tinsley...)
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Tinsely, they'd probably give him away, but hes Mr. Glass, his body cannot stand the NBA. I don't want him. Hes a good player though.

If the Knicks could get Jax without losing Craw that would be good. I think Craw might be turning a corner in his career. Jax is as steady a guy as they come.

That would be ideal, I think, but I dont see them giving him up for a player that doesn't produce, thats why I didn't do S, Jax.
Maybe Franchise would work for them too, but they have so many pgs already.

Sure lets get him. Lets collect every canerous player out there. Bring in Martin while we are at it too.

Then just forfeit the season and film a reality TV show, as the players, IT and Brown go at each others throats. Last man standing gets a new max 25 year contract.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Jamal clutch? Please. You have to win in a meaningful game which he has not done in his six years to be labelled clutch. Ask any non-Knick fan to list the top 10 or even top 50 clutch players in a game and I guarantee you no Knick, including Crawford, is mentioned.

Jax is not a cancer. He has been a soldier all his career. He bounced around the globe before he got with the Nets. Steph and Jax I believe are pretty cool with each other not that it matters. He was learning how to be a nba player in New Jersey. He was a good role player with the Spurs, then he graduated to big scorer in Atlanta. Now with the Pacers he has molded into just a steady savy vet.

He is definately a guy that is about team and about his teamates. He had Artest back all the way during that brawl. I want players like that on the Knicks.....not because of the fight he was in but because of the fight in him. Jax is a good player.

Are you guys on crack, Crawford is a one dimensional player, erractic, doesn't do a lot of things well. Had a few good games down the stretch and now everyone loves him....

The Bulls are much better off without him and Eddy Curry whom everyone wants to see the two of them start and play major minutes for the knicks, exactly the reason why we are terrible, players without defensive ability.....

We need toughness and defense in order to win and ultimatley win an NBA championship......all our guards must go exept nate in order for that to happen and if we can package Nate for a steady player with a good contract that may be an option, he already does most of the things crawford can with better intensity, rebounding and defense....
