At the end of next year, the 2003 class are up for grabs. Its looking certain at this point that we wont have cap room. LeBron, Wade, Carmelo, Bosh and anyone else. What do you guys think. Will we have a chance at a sign and trade? Will there be any free agents that we will miss out on? Or will they all resign?
All the big names resign with respective teams, and we lose nothing by being under the cap.
Some FA's and we miss out due to our horrendous cap situation.
Some teams entertain S&T's and the Knicks are all over the news looking for our franchise player.
Some teams entertain S&T's but for talent not caproom, and the Knicks arent even involved.

I voted S&T. I dont think we will actually get one of them, but we will be in with a chance.

It's not just FA. It's RFA. R stands for resricted, meaning their current teams can and WILL match any offer. No shot in hell do they not match. If they wanted to trade those guys, which they wont, then they'd be asking for A LOT. So much, that it's probably not worth it.

good point. it's fantasy I guess...unless they get an offer they can't refuse, which is impossible from the knicks standpoint.
