both #1's + cash for brevin

knight is 31. cap is not an issue with charlotte and their plan is to not use it until the summer of 2007. so we can give them more picks so they can stockpile on young players.

knight is owed $4.4 next year with a team option of $4.2 in 2007/2008

Wow. I want Brevin Knight but not for two #1 picks!

Pick #20 can be used for a PG with a closeup makeup to Brevin Knight - Kyle Lowry. I'd rather draft a PG instead of trading two 1st Rounders for a 31yr old PG who was is a journeyman.

nyk - me too. but if we're moving steph and/or francis, we're gonna need a pg. maybe one of those deals yields one but i think brevin would be a great stopgap for us. a realistically, what're the odds we're gonna USE and KEEP both picks for ourselves?

In a perfect nyk4ever world. Knicks draft Kyle Lowry and Mike Gansey. Knicks sign Jared Jeffries to MLE. Knicks trade for Reggie Evans and ship out Francis in the same deal. Buyout Marbury. Thats my dream world.

Seeing how IT's seeminly only skill is in drafting players we SHOULD keep both our picks and keep getting some good young players. Or at least package them together to try and move up in the draft.

dj, I really think the number one thing that we must do is move Marbury. And then if possible, move Jerome. That would first of all get rid of a cancer problem and a dissapointment and then we go from there. We need to get tradable pieces on this team. Useful players that could be useful and attractive to other teams that might help in a blockbuster deal somewhere.
I'll never trust this' team again.
