Very Confident. Larry Brown knows what he wants and he will get what he wants.

confident. Kmart and other defensive minded team 1st players will become Knicks. Larry will not have it any other way

I expect more of the same unless LB and Zeke can get on the same page.
I just hope that people will like me

Nervous. Larry Brown doesn't exactly have a good history of trading for players (always wants to trade his guys, not the most patient man) and Isiah certainly hasn't shown us much (another guy who isn't exactly patient). I'm pretty confident that we'll use the MLE to actually help our team unlike last season. However, I have to admit, I'm still pretty freaking nervous when it comes to this franchise trying to acquire veterans that will help us. I'm sure we'll do fine in the draft (picking that is) though.

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

I'm blaming everything on Dolan and Layden. Checketts didn't get us into this whole capped out - hand cuffed situation and Zeke is only doing what he 'has to do' with the hand cuffs.

I wonder if that's the song you'll be singing on Draft night when Chicago's celebrating our pick?

Actually he did. The Knicks haven't been under the cap since 1996. Per Checketts on rebuilding, "Rebuild...not on my watch. You can't rebuild in NY." He was the one who talked Dolan into signing off on the EWing/Rice trade in 2000, instead of letting Ewing stay with the team for a season and come off the cap. Checketts now claim that it was Dolan was the one who sign off on the HOuston resigning, he was the one who went on the Mike and the Mad Dog show to say when you have talented guys you have to lock them up.

Yeah, but we were always in striking distance of getting out of it, like a norman management team would do. Layden sent us into oblivion for who knows how long.

And Marv, I just might be singing the same tune if Curry turns into the promise we are all hoping and the bullcraps pick turns into a bum. That would be our last chance to make up for this disasterous season.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I can't see how we can be anything but confident that the Knicks will make good moves this summer. LB CLEARLY knows what a winning team should look like by now and we really only need to make a few moves to sure up this team and make it more competitive.

Its not like we don't know what our needs are. Those types of players are actually easier to get than the ones we've already acquired. A PG with experience and an unselfish game. A shotblocking rebounder, a defensive swingman and a deep threat. Really we might get some of those things in one player, so I have confidence that we'll be able to improve the team this summer.

as long as the organization doesn't botch the Marbury to Minny deal, it should be a successful offseason.

Marbury and a resigned and traded Woods for Ricky, Hassell, and Hudson or Jaric and keep it moving
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I highly doubt the KNicks will make the necessary moves in the off season. First off I already think Marbury is coming back and that puts the Knicks right back where they were this year. Any positive move made has to be Marbury to another team. If he is coming back look for more of the same thing. Getting players has never really been much of a problem for IT but can he admit a mistake and get rid of MArbury, Francis, Rose, and Mo that is the question. I highly think the KNicks will rid themselves of MArbury so next year will probably be the same as this year. Constant bickering between the coach and Marbury, another mutiny so on and so on, getting rid of locker room trouble maker players should be the goal.

If Larry stays, the team will get older and slower at the cost of youth. They will be better next season, but there cap situatiaon will be even worse, and they will never, ever win a championship.

The day Brown starts making picks for Zeke and getting rid of our young guys is the day I start a 'get rid of Brown campaign'!

We should make one thing clear. Brown coaches whatever Zeke puts on the floor.

Zeke is NOT going to trade the kids. Why do you think he added Francis and Jalen. It was to give himself trade chips so that he doesn't have to trade the kids he wants to keep. I really think too many of us have let the last season sway our judgement of what we have on this team. We really did have a great draft. Frye, Lee and Nate ALL CAN PLAY in this league and not just a little bit. They're going to be successful parts of this team.

Zeke has brought in Curry, Frye, Lee, Nate, Woods, Butler, Quentin and Jamal and all are 26 or younger. I don't care what the record was last year, that is a decent group of young players and they're only going to get better. Once we add a PG, Defensive Swingman, Shotblocker/rebounder and a deep threat this team will be a serious up and coming team. I don't care about the veteran issue. We have enough young players that will be ready to contribute more next year.

Rumor has it, if the Knicks had held onto their first round pick, Larry was planning to select Abe Vigoda.

nixluva, you make a good point about the young cats, but I was only speculating 'if'. Didn't say he was, was only saying what would happen 'if'.

I don't think we have good business men up front. I do think Isiah is a good judge of talent, but he's narrow minded and throws all of his eggs in one basket. I don't think this has changed, and I don't think they have a plan in particular to work things out. I am very nervous that this is true.
