Magic, Kenny and Barkley talked about the grizzlies lack of a guy that can get in the lane and make plays. Guys that can take his man off the dribble and get to the rack.

Stephon marbury!!!

We've aleady discussed this before and Memphis has some guys the knicks could use. Marbs and pau just seem like they could be special. Mike fratello might be the perfect guy for marbs because he has had great scoring punt guards on his team. Terrell Brandon for one.

To me its just a magical fit. Mike miller has been busting his ass trying to make stuff happen. That's not his game. Marbs let's him settle down back to where he is more effective.

Whew this is exciting to think about!

memphis might be scared off by marbury's history of getting under the skin of his teammates though. but yeah, I think a good trade between us and memphis can be worked out if they are willing.

i agreed and posted it a couple of days ago but with francis not marbury. i would take eddie jones who has an expiring deal. but anyone else besides gasol i do not want. some people are probably saying what about battier or miller but i do not think they will be a good fit. they did trade for a penetrator with stoudamire but he got hurt so they may roll the dice again.

Excellent point Eny..I like it. We can send Marbury for Eddie and Warrick and maybe their 1st RD pick(24th) this year.

Yeah - marbs or francis to the Grizz (banish them) plus eddie jones in return (cap for talent dump) works for us! Addition by subtraction. Then we can run a "big backcourt" of Craw at PG and Jones at SG. Q1/Q2/DLee/MLE Signing at SF, PF = Frye/ MLE Signing, C = Curry.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

karl has coached payton.
karl has coached cassell.

granted, both are INFINITELY better than marbs but steph is a shoot first guard like the other two.

steph for kmart equates to headache for headache.

one thing tho, weren't they making a big stink about eddie jones being the leader of the team and how they removed headaches (like mck1 said)?

only desperate...i repeat...DESPERATE gm's would trade for steph, francis, or kmart.

i know one of them's in ny. but where are the other two?

Infinitely better attitudes. I don't know about infinitely more talented, though. We saw from the Phoenix playoff team right before his contract extension that Marbury can help teams win if he's surrounded by good players.

payton in his prime was better...way better than steph. payton was the "glove."

cassell does nothing but win. everywhere he goes, he wins. and when teams trade him away, they lose. he's a better player.

Memphis
Philadelphia
Minnesota
Denver
Houston
Golden State
Portland

there are teams who will NEED to deal this summer. whether our team is the right fit remains to be seen, but there will be plenty of huge trades this summer as people position themselves for Summer 07 free agency and teams try to re-tool.

how about Damon Stoudimire? They had a penetrator. He tore his ACL. Thats usually a pretty solid return. Crawford had the same among others.

any team interested in steph or francis, can EASILY offer mike james the full MLE. 5 years/ $30 mil.
getting a bigger deal at his age is probably not going to happen.

less headaches.

again, it will take a DESPERATE gm to take steph or francis. so we must look for teams that are looking to dump a big contract player they no longer want or have a malcontent star on their roster.

usual suspects are denver (kmart), portland (zach), and minny.

outside of those three, every other team would be STUPID to trade for steph or francis.

Damon's about 10 yrs older than Crawford. They'd be silly to bank on Damon returning as the key to get them out of the first round. Hey, maybe they're aiming low.

Glad you have it all figured out. What if Toronto pays Mike James $6 million a year to keep him?

either way its not a wear and tear injury. You fix it, rehab and pick up where you left off. I would have ZERO problem taking a guy coming off and ACL injury. Part of the reason Nene's market will still be strong

If we traded Steph to Memphis, I'd want Mike Miller in return. For us, Jamal at the point, Miller at the 2, Nate backing up.

haha.

im glad someone else saw that.

after watching the 1st game, i saw francis as a perfect fit in memphis.

marbury's also capable of filling that hole too.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Francis to the Grizz would bring him full circle.

Damon ruptured his patella tendon. That's a lot worse I would assume.

Zero problems? You told me to not force anything for 2 years! LOL......My knee is getting better but I'm trying to wait out all these April showers before I really start testing my knee. Everytime it rains man I feel like chopping my legs off right at the hip! Damn Rain!!!!!
