The guy is beefin' out West. His knee is busted and so is his contract. The one Kiki gave him.

i really think he could be a huge addition to this Knicks' team... if we could get him straight up for Francis, i'd do it w/o any reservations.

You are insane, KMart is damaged goods...Kidd made him the player he was...He owes half his check to Jason Kidd...He is only a fast break type player with good defensive tendendies..Now that his knees are damaged, he is done...Please, we have had our lot of guys with bad kness...no thanks...Let Kiki sweat that one out...No bail outs here...Good luck and good riddance...

as if his knees and his contract weren't enough to x him off of our list, he sat out a game because he's frustrated? Do we really need that?

I'd send the lovely Dr. Lisa to look at his knee and consider the long term of his knee. Players can heal over time.

If Kenyon can return to some level and be conistant (it happens) is he more valuable here as a role player than we keeping a hold on Franics or Marbury? Stephon on Denver might make complete them. They might rather pay Marbury than Kmart.

Is it a gamble that might be worth consideration.

We know that players returning from knee surgery take a long time to return. But it happens.

Denver has too look at it as the risk between Kenyons knee vs. Marburys lovely disposition.

Now I have heard it all. This is Dice all over again. Kenyon for Marbury? WOW!!! They'd probably do it in a heartbeat and it would make them a really good team. What would it make us? Whats that like 12 fowards now?

Are you kidding me? This guy is done, finished, finito. His knee is so bad he cant even play for more than 15 minutes. Lets just add more money to the payroll!!!!!
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

I rather have Kenyon Martin for 56games than Steve Francis for 82 unless someone has some brilliant plan were we trade Francis for KG or Jermaine. Why does every trade have to be such a homerun on paper for the Knicks?

it's going to end up being francis for kmart (maybe we can squeeze a pick or hodge out of it)

kmart needs to take time off and probably will be a bootleg version of mcdyess when all is said and done. his contract runs 2 years longer than francis for about $5 mil less a year. if he's toast, the contract is insured and if he retires due to medical reasons, it will come off the books quicker.

whatever the case...we are in trouble.

i would push clippers HARD on a marbury/francis for maggette trade. the clips are under the cap and maybe cutty ranks has some pull over there. who knows.

Denver Nuggets notes
Frustrated Martin sits out second half
By Marc J. Spears and Adam Thompson
Denver Post Staff Writers

Los Angeles - Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin, who has dealt with injuries all season, was visibly frustrated Monday after seeing limited action in the first half and being told he would sit out the second half.

Several minutes passed in the third quarter before Martin finally arrived at the bench. He then put a towel over his head.

Martin was the first Nugget to leave the locker room after the game and declined comment. Teammate Ruben Patterson said it may be more than his knee injury that's bothering Martin.

"He ain't hurt or nothing," Patterson said. "He just wanted to be in the game. I don't want to get into details about that."

Later, he added: "I was a little worried about him. I'm a little frustrated by things. I've been with that guy since college. I've just got to keep his head up, because he's hurting right now.

"Not physically, just mentally. He wanted to be in the game tonight. He didn't get in the game. He was very angry. I've just got to stick by his side, me and D.J. (DerMarr Johnson). We are the only guys he communicates and talks to. But we need Kenyon, man."

The Nuggets reported that Martin was out with a left knee bruise in the second half.

Johnson and Patterson played at Cincinnati, as did Martin.

holy schnikeys...

for one Mcdyess was just coming off surgery...Kenyon had his in college. Secondly everyone wanted Camby out of NY, it never bothered me that he was injured the year he was traded because 1) he played when it mattered and had a HUGE impact on the playoffs 2 it was worth letting him heal in the offseason and coming back next year as our starting center alongside Nene.

Killa is right on both Francis and Marbury. Martin is a bad risk - its not just that he'll play 50 games - judging by the past 2 seasons, he'll play those games poorly.
His half-court offensive game seems to actually have gotten worse. His rebounding is crap.

If the Artest circus can get you Peja, then any off-court issue can be overlooked. Either Marbury or Francis, based on their talent, should do better than an unhealthy Kenyon strapped with a max-contract.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Kenyon is definitely struggling but I remember the kenyon martin who played on the Nets, shutdown Jermaine O'neal, posted 30/15 in the playoffs, was the heart & soul of the team, just ask any Net fan, dunk all over our players and got in their faces, impossible game winning shotblocks and you don't just lose it it overnight
