"Yesterday we read an article where Stephon Marbury said, “This is a really good team.” Guys, good teams don’t post the second-worst record in the League … The Marbury trade talk is getting louder. In addition to the ever-present T’wolves rumor, there are whispers that the Clippers (something involving Sam Cassell) and the Rockets (Rafer Alston) might be interested in acquiring Steph. For his part, Marbury doesn’t think he’s going anywhere..."

Now if I were the knicks, i'd try to send Marbury to the crappiest team that I could think of - like portland for theo ratliff. Or Seattle for Fortson and fodder. Just for punishment. Or send him to the Rockets. Let JVG grate on the guy and see how they like him down in H-Town (marbury's got dem franchise boys in his head - "oh i think they like me... oh i think they like me...") I dont want Rafer madness in NYC. Sure i'd take Sam "I A.M. (Alien Man)" Cassell in NYC over Marbury. Sam has stones the size of bowling balls. Even if sam is on his last legs, he'd run the team better than Marbs.

I would much rather have Cassell - any day of the week.

Why would the clips want Marbury unless two things are true Livingston is not ready and wont be for years AND Sam Cassell is really wrecked?

I'd take Sam in a heartbeat. Its no coincidence that whichever team he goes to gets a lot better.

Dunleavy interchanges. Steph would play on the ball some and off the ball some.

they likely don't want to pay Sam what he wants.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

maggette looks like sht lately.

probly a package of sam and maggette.... which of course i'd take.

then houston would probly offer rafer, howard or swift, and sura.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I'd take Sammy in a heartbeat, I wish they had Wilcox still (Sam and Wilcox for Steph)...I love Maggs but he is injured more than half the time...I don't like that.

Cassell makes any team he's ever been on much better. LB would LOVE him. Shame the Clips don't still have Wilcox, I would take Wilcox and Cassell in a hot second.

Cassell is 49 yrs old........Maggette better be comming with him.

Rockets deal is awful (don't want know parts of Alston and his long contract)

Minny is only interesting because of the pick......Jaric is garbage, Hudson is injury prone and the jury is still out Banks

Why would LA want Marbury when they have Cuttino and him and Francis mesh so well?

Francis and the 29 for Cassell and Maggette
Marbury to Minny for Blount, Hudson, Griffin, and the 7 (cut Hudson-maybe his injury forces him to a medical exemption- and maybe Blount)
Rose and the 20 to Portland for Miles and Ratliff and Jack
Nate and a #2 to NO for Smith.
Mo to ATL for future picks.
Sign J Williams
Cut Jerome James

Cassell/Craw(as a swing guard)/Williams/Jack
Maggette/Smith
Miles/Q/Lee
Frye/Griffin/Butler
Curry/Ratliff(only has 2 yrs left...next year is last year I think)

MRose on IL

that is 14 players...bottom of the bench rotates on team matchup.
