And 8 rebounds

Please... throw the full MLE at him. He's the PERFECT guy to play next to either Curry or Frye right now

YES. Reggie Evans would be fantastic. I have a feeling Zeke will try to get Evans or Kmart.

Reggie Evans would be great but if he comes Taylor and Malik have to go!

Still I believe in Frye as a starter and I believe in Lee and Butler.....Reggie Evans is a nice player but how will getting him effect these guys playing time? Would Reggie Evans have Antonio Davis' old role with Frye coming off the bench? If that happens will Lee be buried again on the IR next year?

That's just solid proof that Malik and Taylor need to belet go as soon as possible without a thought.

Anyone but Kmart. Kmart = McDyess all over again.

Yea but KMart's only signed through 2010/11 when he'll be making over $16M and he DID after all come up with the big double single in a playoff loss last night. So what does that all spell - stars in Isiah's eyes!

I am happy to wait and see if Lee & Jackie Butler can fill the reggie evans role of rebounder/role player.

Reggie might be better, but if he is signed to the MLE he is a lot more expensive and he does make a lot of other players (lee, butler, frye?) redundant.

And you know, signing someone to the full mle, to me, is a continuation of what has gotten us here in the first place.

Granted, he is better than Jerome James, Shandon, Fatspoon, et al.

But we need to grow this from within and stop spending money.

Double single...LOL. 9 pts and 8 rebounds in 28 minutes from an injury prone 29 year old has been. please say no!

I'll tell you what doesn't look weird to Knick fans - another obscenely ovepaid physically deteriorating starphuch of a roster move.

last night...
18 minutes, 8 rebounds, no FT attempts and 7 points on 7-10 shooting from the line. All his offense came from getting fouled rebounding. This guy is the most relentless rebounder I have seen in a long time.

I cant think of a better player in the NBA right now to put next to Curry and Frye. He does ALL the dirtry work, he hits guys, he flops, he draws contact rebounding and people hate playing against him. He's a little dirty like a Rodmon/Kurt Thomas also.

Start him next to Curry and bring Frye off the bench and we are a different team already. You can also play some of those whaky scrappy Bulls type line ups with 3 guards and Reggie and David Lee.

This is the kind of role player that changes every line up we have.

The perfect player to throw next to Curry and Frye would be someone like Evans with good shot-blocking. Evans would still be good, but poor shot-blocking would remain a huge concern for the team.

Bonnie thats fair... when I say perfect I'm factoring in being attainable as part of the occasion. Dalembert or Elton Brand or Jermaine Oneil would be more "perfect"

I'm looking at guys we could actually get that could make a big difference, are young, and help right away.

Unless your part of the "we are getting KG" contingent Reggie is a good piece to add. Turns 26 next month

Fish, what's the deal with his minutes? Is it foul trouble? Looks like he should heave been playing the whole game - he's twice as effective as Najera, KMart was doing his meltdown thing (btw girls it didn't take Karl long to unveil his 1st major drama on this club - KMart's gonna flip his lid before this series' over).

Reggie had 3 fouls in his 18 minutes. Is he foiul-prone in general?

no.. he can be overagressive but he doesnt pick up too many dumb fouls. He's not a great fit for Denver because they need scoring and he doesnt give you any. Look at who's taking shots for that team. Melo, Boykins and Camby. Thats a big problem. When Reggies on the floor they swarm those guys and force him off the floor. Najera can hit the 15-18 footer OK.

For us we have only guys that score.

how about Kenyon Martin? he can block shots, play D, has that aggression we all want... only concern is his knee, but his contract is insured isn't it?

I would rather have a guy that compliments Frye rather than replace him. Also I'm jaded... big contract and just injured.

that's fair, it's a big risk no doubt... Reggie Evans would be nice w/the MLE... an actual good FA value... now there's a concept.
