Peolple kill me with saying guys like steph, HOWARD EISLEY, francis and J Rose, oooh there contracts are to big, to long. It's such a silly notion that large contracts are untradable. It's been done since..well forever. Larry Johnson was probably the first player in the league to get the major, major bucks when he resigned whith (then) charlotte Hornets and easily got traded bad back and all. Players have been moved reguardless of skills, salary, or health.

So why would it change Now?

anyone's tradeable, as long as you're willing to take what you're going to get back for them.

Right, and at this point and the chips IT has to gamble with, we can get a big name player or a bunch of no name hard workers(my prefrence). It's not going to be all that hard, and bark bark can goto hell, he reminds of a Dumb Jock anyway.

So far trading big contracts for what comes back has made the team worse. You can talk all you want about talent and potential, but what happens when potential amounts to a fart, as with Ariza, Sweetney, FW, etc., and talent simply does not play up to its abilities?

You are stuck with a team that is the joke of the NBA.

Frantic and Mopebury represent over 30 million in cap figure for next year alone.

then there is the collective 110 mill they represent oer the finish of their contract.

not that hard. are you serious?

The CBA alone makes it that hard + The limiting factor of roster spots makes it that hard + the chemistry issue a GM is facing when trading for these 2 and a few other Knicks adds on to how hard

the way out of perpetual cap hell might be to just buy out some of these malcontents rather than take crap back for them.

Buying out does not get them off the cap. If it was that easy, why would anybodbey over the cap, ever.

Very, how did we get them. Marbury and francis are star players despite what happen this year. Everybody thought vince was injury prone and on the declined, nash was a star in dallas and became a super star in with the suns.

Anybody who thinks those two are on the declined base on 1 season is an idiot. Yeah they are over paid, but so is the 75% of the league. We may have to give up JC some of our younger players, but if it helps us get better so be it. You think Houston wants to get rid of T mac, or GS wants to get rid of BD becuase of there bad backs and bad contracts...put them out there and see how many teams would be willing to take the risk.

It's all about what works, bad attitude, bad health, bad contract, sub par skills, doesn't matter. Boris Diaw, Nazy, juan Dixion. Those sub par players have gel lovely.

I'd trade any player on this team for lesser talant if I know they would fit well in my plans.

ok lets say TMac Baron Steph Francis Jermaine Martin and Randolph are all on the market this summer

bear in mind there are maybe 4 or 5 teams out there that has th econtracs to trade and the $$$ and market to absorb such salaries and 1 of them is the Knicks.

Oneal and TMac are at the top of the list as far as suitors.

Zach because he is a young skilled big who gives you 20 & 10 I'd say is next.

thats 1 or 2 teams left looking at 3 max point guards and Baron has the easiest cap number to put together a deal for because a team can send back like 12 mill and meat the 125% rule.

it will not be easy moving Marbury and Steve especially in the same summer.

Jalen Rose told The New York Times that he was stunned by the horrible Knicks season, explaining, "I put together our roster on NBA Live and we're pretty good."

I wonder if that's what Isiah did.

the only way i ever agree to any Marbury buy out plan is if we have something under the table to get the lottery pick back from MIN.

How can you control where a player signs?? If the Knicks buy-out Marbury, he would be an UFA. He could sign with any team he felt like.

u can't control where a player signs... but considering the fact that Marbury wants to play w/KG again & vice versa, & also considering the fact that Marbury started his career in MIN, & also considering the fact that quite frankly, he doesn't have many other better options at this point, i say an under the table type agreement could be reached.
