Sacromento gets
Stevie Francis
[Denver's #1 pick is optional and I'd do it if asked to]

NY gets
A resigned Bonzie Wells at around 8 mil per for 3.
Kenny Thomas who has a longer contract but is a good rebounder and a solid defender.

Why for Sac
They need a scorer on their team badly. They miss Pejas scoring and Stevie will flourish outwest.

Why for NY
We need a solid starting 2 guard and Bonzi could be it. He rebounds, plays d, and is a solid offensive contributer.
Kenny Thomas, if nothing else is a good rebounder, but not a bad player overall.
This helps us with our 2 biggest needs, rebounding and defense, and we get rid of Francis too.
This is a no brainer for us.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Hate to tell you killa but sacremento will not trade bonzi wells a punishing 6'5 200 pounder 2 guard for francis and denver's pick.. No way, Jose!!! Why would they want bibby and francis, both under 6'4 in their backcourt???

I had recommended a trade for Bonzi instead of crawford a couple of yrs back but didn't think West wanted anyone from the knicks @ the time..

Geoff Petrie, a brilliant g.m. for Sac and who i think the knicks should pursue to replace Ass iah will not do such deal with the knicks especially with Ass iah..

you also putting kenny T in the mix.. No it happens... they'll be losing 2 good rebounders and gaining a pick which we all don't know will turn out and a shorter 2 guard.. Naaaaaaaaa, won't happen..
The Future. GO KNICKS!

Bibbr Ron Brad Shareef

Sac is not without scoring and besides with Artest outscoring people has morphed some and will likely continue. What they do lack is height and a back-up point guard for Mike.

backup point they'll likely address through the draft and height through free agency.

Sadly, I think the best "thing" we can get for Francis is Eddy Jones and maybe a pick.

francis is going to denver for kmart.

i'm almost 100% convinced that we have a handshake deal already, that's why francis is here.

That would not be a bad deal.

I don't like it. I thought Denver gave him way too much money even when his knees still looked okay. Now I have big concerns about his health along with his long-term high-priced salary. I don't think he's worth it.

Plus on the other side of the deal, does Denver move Miller? Play Stevie at the 2? How unappealling must that look to them?

it's a lesser of two evils. plus kmart's contract is insured so if he can't go b/c of his knees, we won't have to pay the majority of it and it could come off the cap quicker.

if this is the only deal available for francis, you have to make it. but b/c of the health issue, i would like to get a pick in return...or possibly nene (but we may have to include our picks).

Although I hate K.Martin, its certainly a decent deal. We just have to make something with so many PF's: Malik, Taylor, Frye, Lee...

Anyway, I still prefer to get Eddy Jones and a future 1sr round pick from Memphis for Francis, and I consider it to be a fair trade.

I'd prefer it to. Kmart is a god player, but his game is 100% athleticism and his contract is ridiculous. Gimme eddie and a pick.

May or may not be plausible - try this idea out for size:

Francis and both of our 2006 1st round picks to Atlanta for their 2006 lottery pick.

Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

I'd much rather have Kmart getting minutes than MoT and Malik. Frye and Kmart at PF is not bad at all.
