The culture on this team needs to change. Buy out Marbury. Dump Francis in the best deal (either expiring contracts or solid, defensive role players who have a competitive, winning attitude. Buy out Jerome James -- It's time for Isiah to admit his mistakes and expunge all the sunk coasts on this squad.

Look at the Bulls -- they play on both sides of the ball and have a great coach and players with a winning mentality.

This team has some nice young pieces. Butler, David Lee, and Crawford are my only fixtures. I think Frye and Nate are great assets but are the two guys that could really bring this team the pieces they need to compete.

Here are guys we should look at:

Duhon - I would overpay for this kid. Larry Brown would turn him into a borderline allstar. I would give up Lee and Nate for Duhon and maybe our pick back.

Jared Jefferies - This is the long, defensive 3 that does the little things. Could he turn into a player like Prince under LB. Nate for Jefferies and their pick?

Andre Iguodala - Has lots of offensive potential. Reminds me a lot of Richard Jefferson. Can change games with his defensive abilities. I would be willing to trade Frye straight up for him.

M Pietrus - How about Nate, Mo Taylor, and Denvers pick for Pietrus, Fisher, A. Foyle, and their pick? We get a young stud who can thrive under LB, a vet point guard, and a lottery pick while GS gets a ton of cap relief.

D Jones - Another Duke product who knows how to play the game and win basketball games. Is the type of player that can flourish under LB. We need some perimeter defense and he can be a guy that can give it to us. If we can pawn one of our point guards to Memphis I would really want as part of the deal.

Speedy Claxton, Brevin Knight, Mike James, Luke Ridnour - The types of pgs I think would work well with this team.

I'd look to go after both Boozer, Reggie Evans, and Dalembart. We need a banger at the 4 if we're going to keep Curry around. We need somebody who does all the little things (defends, bangs, rebounds) and doesn't need the ball on offense. If we can't get these guys tell Lee to bulk up over the summer and start him at the 4 next year. Could turn into the modern day Oakley.

I would love to see a lineup next year of:

Claxton Crawford
Iguodola Crawford
Jefferies Iggy Lee
Lee Rose
Curry Butler

It's amazing how players who each do something well, will play TOGETHER as a unit. Your too caught up with Starters and Statistics Holfresh. It's not how basketball games are won.

No, I caught up in a foundation to build a future with...That begins with Frye, his impact on this team will be more important than any of those other players....Craw has show some signs but we still have to see what happens next year....Those others won't be impact players and should not be regarded as fixtures...

there are no fixtures or starters.....LB already established that. Right now it about what LB wants. When he gets the players he wants then he can coach.

IGGY is untouchable. So is Boozer. Boozer was putting up Karl Malone numbers down the stretch.

It's not gonna be easy to pull players.....but Larry Brown will get the change he has been bitching about. I also predict he will get some of his old players....hopefully he won't baby them like he did Antonio Davis.

What's wrong with LB getting the players he wants? I know it sounds far-fetched to some of you, but Larry has won with some of those guys that aren't as talented as the Stephon Marburys of the world and if he feels comfortable with them then why do you guys have such a problem. Larry Brown has coached playoff teams, he's coached teams in the finals and he's coached teams in the NCAA tournament, he knows the kind of player he wants and we should all want them too if we're rooting for the Knicks to win.

The buck stops with Larry, I know many of you may not like that but the guy has been in the playoffs and the finals and he's won there with a certain kind of player, how can you argue that and not want that?

As long as Larry is here with the Knicks, I want him to have his players becuase I want to see a Knicks championship in my lifetime, Larry Brown gives us that chance. He's done it before and I would like him to have EVERYTHING that he wants with the Knicks, players, power becuase Larry gives us the best chance to win when he has what he needs.

I think he'll be here as long as he has some of his players. He's 65 and in a contract for 5 years, he can't coach elsewhere and I honestly think he'll be with the Knicks when he decides to step down from coaching.

This guy is here one maybe two years tops...He wears out his welcome everywhere he goes and has worn on this organization just a bit this season....If next season is like this one and nothing has suggessted it will be different....The final press conference says nothing has changed...He's gone and Dolan will be pushing the car...

What I don't get is the following. You say that about Larry but when someone says that about Marbury you have every excuse in the world why teams haven't been pushing him out the door. If Larry gets pushed out the door fine but atleast his teams win when he's pushed out the door. Marbury gets pushed out the door becuase his teams perform poorly.

Do you really think what got Larry to the playoffs etc. is "LB players" such as Eric Snow?

Everywhere he has had great success he has had great players and he did not hand-pick them. For example: Danny Manning, Reggie Miller, David Robinson, and Allen Iverson.

If there was a star on the Knicks, and LB wanted to surround that star with his kind of players, I am fine with that. But how can anyone think a team full of role players that LB likes will be anything more than mediocre?

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
