I say we sign him to an offer sheet and hopefully he will sign with us. He's big, young, an excellent shot-blocker, rebounder, etc...He won't play much this season and we don't need him to play that much with McDyess, Thomas, Doleac, Harrington, and Weatherspoon. Hopefully he can come in for a few minutes here and there and play tough defense and take up space. In the future he should develop into one of our top centers. Thoughts?

I'm all for it, Blazers may not match with Sabonis coming back, DD getting center minutes and they drafted Jason Jennings with their second rounder.

Million dollar exception perhaps?

I agree as well...He'd be a nice complement to McDyess...

I think we might be able to get ruben in a packaged deal for stoudamire. there is no way the blazers are keeping damon (with mcinnis and daniels), and his contract, so maybe something like ward harrington knight for damon and ruben. they get the cap relief and they really dont need more good players since they are stacked with talent. harrington is fairly young and ward can be a good mentor. maybe we throw in vujanic if they need him and we can get someone like randolph.

Mr.Patterson might be 6'5 but Mr.BOUMTJE-BOUMTJE is a 7'-center!
