can anyone tell me the name of a portable device that allows you to browse the web and download songs and listen to them (preferably having those as its main functions). I dont mean a laptop, but like something smaller than that. obviously this device would have limited web browsing ability and limited storage but I was wondering if a device like this exists which I would think it does but I just dont know what its called.

The company you want is called HTC. Its a Taiwan company who don't just provide cutting-edge technology, they damn near live in the future.

Obviously something that browses the internet would have to be a phone, as it would require connection to some sort of network.

HTC latest two offerings are the HTC Universal and the HTC Wizard.

They are not marketed generally under the name HTC, you can get them as an i-mate, or with specific network providers who think up their own names.
