1) S.Francis, Frye, Mo Taylor and #1 (SA or Den) for J.O'Neal, Tinsley and A.Johnson.

Why - I would substitute Marbury if possible, but that won't happen. We would have to give up Frye (at least), offer salary relief (M.Taylor) to get them to take Francis or Marbury. The #1 pick doesn't help us as much anyway (Brown wants vets). Putting O'Neal next to Curry takes pressure off Curry and improves rebounding and shot-blocking up front. Adding Tinsley changes the attitude to becoming more team oriented. We can cut A.Johnson if necessary. This deal all comes down to if Walsh decides to cut ties with O'Neal (after his injury) and acquire a young talent. O'Neal is 27 and a solid PF/C.

2) Crawford, D.Lee, N.Robinson and #1 (Den) for G.Wallace, B.Knight and M.Carroll.

Why - If Charlotte were willing to do this, it would help stabalize our team and improve effort. G.Wallace plays with tremendous effort (blocks shots, steals, etc), B.Knight is solid and dependable, Carroll is a good spot up shooter off bench. Charlotte may consider because Knight is not needed due to R.Felton's play, adding N.Robinson and D.Lee would be consistent with their youthful/low cost players. The #1 pick may offset losing their best player - who is often injured. I'd be willing to give them both #1's to get Wallace and Knight. Be kind...

the second trade is too lopsided in favor of the Bobcats... Gerald Wallace isn't that good that you'd need to give up 4 1st round calibre talents to acquire... Brevin Knight is a nice PG, but you can simply sign someone like Speedy Claxton & get similar production, if not the same level of leadership that Knight gives you admittedly.
