I think we need a real 7 footer or a PG, actually both BUT to me:) the 7 footer=defense[eventually] and I really liked what I saw in terms of skills at 19 years old---i.e Patrick Obryant----thats my choice from the draft and Marcus Williams as a number 2 IF we can parlay the chips and move up.

Im in for an AI Hunter Philly #1 for Marbury and Curry pick 29

take Philly's pick out & throw in the other Knicks' 1st rounder, & maybe that deal has a shot... otherwise, why would Philly give up a player of AI's calibre to get a less talented version & malcontent like Marbury, & Eddy Curry who has yet to prove he can be consistently dominant on the NBA level who also has a diagnosed heart ailment?

Tell me what better deal Philly could get for Marbury and Curry for AI and Hunter swap picks? That is a VERY high caliber package

you speak as if Philly is going to do whatever they can to unload AI in the offseason... who told you Billy King was looking to dump AI for the best package he could get? please let me know cuz that's news to me... this latest no show for AI in the last game of the season where the team had nothing left to play for is nothing new w/AI... that city still loves him & he's their entire franchise... there's no way in hell you're going to get King to trade him for that package, much less to a divisional rival in the Knicks... get real.

O'Bryant to me is the best center prospect period. I think he could develop into something similar to Malgoire before injuries. I am iffy on Williams but I wouldn't mind drafting him especially if you can move both Francis and Marbury. I am not sure what moving AI will accomplish, except cause Brown to just completely just lose it. The man left AI and not on nice terms like people are trying to reinvent it.

I think a 7 foot PG would be a perfect fit.

There's a good chance AI will be unloaded. The team is moving towards going into a rebuilding phase. They won't have the pieces for a few years, so rumor has it they want to move AI before his value drops. In that case, yes, I do think they would take the package that Briggs mentioned.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

if the team is moving towards going into a rebuilding phase, why would they be interested in getting back Marbury & losing their lottery pick? think about it... the Knicks are their divisional rival... do you honestly think the Sixer fans will stand for watching AI put up 35 & 8 against them in a Knicks' uniform on any given night while all they get is a Stephon Marbury to be a cheap imitation? there's no way that's going to happen... if AI is traded, they'll get back another stud player, like a Paul Pierce or a maybe a package of very good young talent like Ben Gordon & Luol Deng... Marbury & Curry & a swap of picks is NOT a high calibre package in my eyes.

i wouldnt swap pierce or deng and gordon. iversen is 30+ and has a LOT of mileage on him. I really do not think Philly would do much better with Curry and their choice of marbury or FRancis

I don't Deng is that high thought of either. To me neither Gordon 0r Deng make Philly any better. They need an a thriple threat defender who can score especially if they are moving Iverson. Krover was horrible last season. A guy like Rose would help out that team, but they still need a solid pg playmaker. Marbury and Q-Woods, 1st round pick for AI and a second pick. Swaping Pierce and AI is a lateral move to me without doing something about being able to defend the 3 and Pierce doesn't and getting solid pg who distributes. That team just watches AI dribble around, especially AI2 and Dalembert.

please tell me you didn't just say that neither Ben Gordon nor Luol Deng would make Philly any better, but in your mind Jalen Rose would.
