Most of us believe Thomas will start. However, some sites and personal opinion(i.e. sporting news) believe Weatherspoon will start. Looking at his numbers, he did have a very nice season with a poor team. He put up approx. 11 pts, 10 rbs, but you must remember that was with the Cavs. I still believe that Thomas will start and also believe Harrington is as much an impact player as Spoon. He is bigger and a better post-up player, which is something we don't have. Therefore, i definetly feel Harrington should get his time. Right now heres how i feel our rotation will look;

C Marcus Camby/36 mpg/15 ppg,12 rpg,2 bpg.
PF Kurt Thomas/30 mpg/10-12 ppg,6-7 rpg.
SF Latrell Sprewell/38 mpg/18 ppg,4 rpg.
SG Allan Houston/38 mpg/18-20 ppg,2 rpg.
PG Mark Jackson/28-30 mpg/7 ppg,7 apg.
6th Shandon Anderson/20 mpg/7 ppg,3 rpg,2 apg.
7th Howard Eisley/20 mpg/6 ppg,3 apg.
t-8th Clarence Weatherspoon/15-16 mpg/4 ppg,4 rpg.
t-8th Othella Harrington/15-16 mpg/5 ppg/3 rpg.

Though i don't think Spoon is any better then the second or third best power forward on our team, he did put up some pretty impressive numbers threw-out last season.

I think that Kurt Thomas will start over Spoon. One advantage though to having Spoon start is that KT is considered a more suitable backup for Camby at the 5 than any other player on our roster. This may be what the other sources are thinking.

Van Gundy will never use a 9-man rotation and you didnt even include L.J in that 9 man rotation. We all know how much JVG loves LJ~ which means he will play him if he does in fact return next season no matter how unproductive LJ is on the glass you know JVG will still give him minutes.

I agree dirty kurty deserves to start. He put up awesome numbers last season when he was a starter. I know you like Othella alot but being JVG doesnt use his bench and we are deep at PF Othella is going to be the odd man out.

JVG is loyal to his players and sometimes to a fault, but this time he gets it right and starts KT...Kt will put up big numbers now that he knows he will be the season long starter..he deserves it...
