Brown retires due to health problems, and Isiah hires a New York boy to come back home. Billy Donovan.

I think Billy is a really smart guy and a great coach. Would he want to bring this on himself? Wouldnt that be inviting his own health problems?

The health reasons is just an excuse for the Larry Haters to get him to retire. Larry is a tough guy. He'll give it at least another year.

bold prediction if billy donovan coaches this team...david lee will break the knicks record for most minutes played in a season until we draft joakim noah...but only until we pry away matt barnes from toronto.

Does it matter if some players have their own agendas?

IF they won't listen, they won't listen.

If LB leaves. Nobody should coach this team but Isiah. It's his team, his vision, and ultimately his mess.

If IT can pull it together I will give him the credit, and if it stays like this all the blame is his too.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Isiah wasn't a very good coach in Indy, he sucks as a manager for NY. I don't want him touching this team anymore. Either he's gone, or he just sits around and looks pretty while somebody else does the work.

Maybe IT and Larry can switch roles. Let IT have some fun in the Lava pits of hell!

donovan does have ny roots so that's always a good thing. he played under MY favorite knicks coach of all time in pitino (with riles being a close second)

but if we go this route...doesn't that mean we're going full rebuild?

didn't he win 41, 42 and 48 games in his three year's as coach? And that was his first coaching position.

I'm down with Zeke taking over the coaching responsibilities. But I prefer brown stick it out.

His coaching would bring about his end most likely. I don't think his sitting back is an option.

But if he coaches and the team stinks then sayonara IT! And if he coaches and the team is good, well I guess that's okay too.

By the way, bringing in Isiah was always wrong from a standpoint of karma. He was another guy who gave the Knicks an aussie-style rooting in his playing days. I don't want MJ or Miller here either. It's just wrong.

Wow, King1, nice nugget for us. I know Florida won the championship last year, but God, I've seen Florida choke so many times in the NCAA tournament the past few years.. I'm not really sure I'd like Donovan. LB please come back.

I'm with you on that one...I also like the idea of working a former Knick into the front office as an apprentice...Maybe H20, Mark Jackson, or even Greg Anthony for a possible take over 2 or 3 years down the road...The Organization could monitor his development....IT as coach and let's see what happens...

You don't retire due to acid reflux. You take Prilosec. It's now available over the counter.

By the way, I'm a big Donovan fan and would love to see him here. I just don't think we've seen the last of Larry.
