It was reported in ESPN.com that GP wants out of Seattle. The article in ESPN talks about Indianna posibly getting him.

Maybe NY has some chance of getting him with an offer of Spree, Williams/Vujamic, Thomas and a future 1st pick for Payton and Booth(or any other of their C's)

I wouldnt give all of that up for GP - as far as I am concerned he will never be a Knick - even though they may want him, it just isnt realistic.

I would agree. Spree, Williams/Vujanic, Thomas and a first rounder is way too much. I may do something like Spree, Ward, Thomas for GP and Booth.

Remember Payton is 33 or 34 the only trade i would offer them is Thomas ,Ward,Anderson and a 1st and 2nd round draft pick for Payton and Booth.

I'd rather have Peja Drobniak then Calvin Booth. Booth is both fragile and a bad basketball player.

I dunno... but it seems that i'm the only person on these boards that really appreciates Spree... Everyone seems to be dying to trade him... and all the trades are for people that in my opinion are of lower value to the combination that we would offer for them... If we keep Spree... I am almost certain that we could trade him for a "Stackhouse" type player after this next season. Look for his and Houston's Value to Sky Rocket after this season...

Spree will be 1 year older, not 1 year better. He still has 2 year left after this seaon on his contract.. Its best to trade him now. He will be 34 almost 35 when he is a free agent. Houston can hold down the shooting. I wouldnt give Spree unless could package him in a trade for something special like Odom or Payton.

The point that nyvector16 is making is that Spree’s value is at an all time low. Currently Spree can't bring back Odom or Payton (even in a package). With the addition of Dyse, the Knicks will not only win more games but Spree percentage will go up, he'll be happier so no more bad mouthing teammates and coaches, and skipping practices. All of this will lead to increased trade value. Spree has the body type that usually last a little longer in the NBA. If you look at the games from last season, he still shut down the same players, and he still destroyed the same players. What’s this lost a step thing? And why do we need to trade him now? WE can trade him next year when we’ll get decent offers for him, not the crap that’s out there now. Or we can still get one more, great, and two more good years out of him and let him walk after his contract expires. Do get hung up on the “we have to get something” in return concept. Look how great that worked for us with Patrick Ewing. We should have keep Patrick, let him start so his ego won’t get bruised but give most of the minutes to Camby. I repeat Spree is not bringing back Odom or Payton in a package. Not after last season. I think the Kings are ready to topple the Lakers. Once that happens every team in the West will feel like they are one scorer away from a ring. Spree, and possible Houston will have much more value next year. If the right deal is there we should definitely take it, but we shouldn’t take scrapes just because Spree will be a year older next year.
