Playoff ball and NY's no. 1

congrats Chicago

all I can think about is Duddy blowing the dunk and Steph arguing with the ref while Gordon raced down court to hit the 3 to tie.

Thomas To Declare For Draft
16th April, 2006 - 2:24 am
Draft Express - According to Draft Express, Freshman Power Forward Tyrus Thomas is scheduled to conduct a press conference on Monday at 3 PM to announce he’s entering the 2006 NBA Draft.

As of right now he is “testing the waters” and will not be hiring an agent. How long that lasts is remained to be seen, as Thomas has reportedly done his homework with NBA GM's and has been informed that he is expected to be a top-5 pick in this year’s upcoming draft.

At least they won't get two lottery picks now and will probably be slightly less good next year (which means a better pick for us).

they don't need 2 lottery picks. The 1 gets them Tyrus, the 2 or 3 gets them Aldrige.

Chicago is only going to IMPROVE.

the grass is always greener, but in this case, the grass is the muthafu kin hulk...

a group of kids that all play hard. a group of kids that like to play defense. high character, tough nosed players from elite programs. a gm that is more concerned with being patient and doing the right thing, than panicking and making the wrong choice. and a team that has a TON of cap room this summer to facilitate a trade or signing.

the bulls are what we should look like right now sans the immediate cap room (which should've only been one more year away).

Great spin, Bonn. LOL.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

well....

one positive thing to say is tht eddy can atleast be offensively dominant at times.

dont see any dominant players in this draft.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Not spinning. The Curry trade is still a disaster, just of a *slightly* smaller magnitude if the Bulls get one rather than two lottery picks. *I do* care about where our draft pick from the Bulls is next season.

I guess you're ignoring his 1:10.3 assist to turnover ratio when you make this statement.

I can't imagine that there'd be much difference for how the Bulls do next year in say a 12-14 pick versus a 15-16 pick, but I guess we'll see come draft time.

The Bulls have the OPTION to swap picks with us. If they're worse than us, obviously they will keep their pick. But I can see why you would want to think there's a chance this trade would blow up slightly less in our faces.

I don't understand- the Bulls will take our 2007 pick unless we're better than them.

They made the play offs and will likely have the number one pick in this draft.

We're a sinking ship in desperate need of help- they're in a position to be a high 40 win team in 07, we'll be lucky if we're high 30.

I don't think anyone can say they know what this team will look like next season.

Also, I think Bonn was saying that he was rooting for the Bulls to do badly because we get their pick - which is not true. If the Bulls for some reason have a worse record than us (highly unlikely), they have the option not to swap. That's the difference between the Bulls management and ours - they protected themselves from the worst case scenario.

The Bulls do, the better for us. (It means we'll either be keeping our own pick or be trading down to a less bad pick.)

I say congrats to the bulls, I can't hate them, they are undersized and not very deep, but they play hard, smart and are good kids, they deserve this....
