Jalen Rose, who practiced Wednesday after missing six games, said playing against teams with something at stake was meaningful. "Nothing feels better than spoiling another team's playoff chances," he said.

I would have thought actually *making* the playoffs would feel better but thats just me

he probably meant...with the position their in now, thats the best thing they can do, although all the playoff seeding is locked up and just the bottom spots are up in the air
''We don't have the luxury to take anybody lightly,'' New York's Quentin Richardson said. ''We're not that good.''

Coach Riley says the talent is there but the coaching....

March 20, 2006 -- Heat coach Pat Riley said Knick fans must relax and be patient.
"I love their young players," Riley said before the Heat's 111-100 victory over the Knicks last night at the Garden.

"They have a lot of good young players so they just keep working it so that is what they have to do. You are never going to make anyone happy in New York unless you win. They are not going to have any kind of patience with rebuilding unless you show results, so they are having a difficult time," he said.

The former Knick coach put the onus on Larry Brown last month when the Heat were in town on the day of the Steve Francis trade, saying "the cupboard is full" regarding the Knicks' talent.

Pharzeone, you know everyone is going to ignore that quote (they ignored it when he said it back in March), and we as knick fans know Riley to be one of the best.

Riley is speaking to a small minority of the board that post the most and are the most venomous in their postings. The patient fans are trying to keep the calm by spreading the blame. But when you have over 5,000 posts, you have a right to be, how should I say this, an angry poster.

He only left New York because he didn't have control of the talent being brought in, that's why Parcell's left New England.

LB had a tough go of it this year, and he, Marbury and others need to do some serious soul searching this summer.

We are not this bad. We ARE rebuilding. We will win 45 games next year and get to the second round oft he playoffs!!!

see sig.

maybe Steph and Steve would play defense for Pat. Maybe we cant trade them to the Heat.

maybe we could just keep them. Franchise plays defense (according to LB rebounds and steals = defense).

Marbury was playing great before the injury, I believe his injury is what caused the riff. I know when I play hurt AND we lose I'm really really angry.

I'd like to see them work it out.

Jailin was a big ass when he was younger. The recent "older statesmen" thing don't mean a thing. He don't got the game anymore so he is not such an ass. He is getting paid 16mil. He can be agreeable.

Riles left because he wanted equity in team. Was not gonna happen. Not a cablevision susidiary.

The Heat owner made his a huge over the top offer while riles was under contract and thats why he left the knicks. I forget the terms, but only a crazy person would refuse that offer. Riles was not crazy.

your 100% right. I was really pretty optimistic there. And with LB's mego ego getting Marbury to play winning basketball would be one of his more impressive career feats (no sarcasm... really)

Marbury takes care of the ball, but if he's going to let every PG he plays against take him for a ride its pointless. Plus I'm pretty convinced of the malcontent label at this point. "Working it out" would be ideal, because there is no way we are getting value back, unless its from Sota and cmon... Isiah is making the trade.

My primary concern is that we are truly screwed if marbury and LB don't work it out. We're gonna get hosed in any trade scenario. At this point, you may just have to "Shandon" Marbury. Who cares if he produces for another team.

I'm suprised at Franchises minutes AFTER marbury and QRich went down. But he is a turnover machine and his turnovers almost always result in points (crawford too for that matter).

Hmm..Would you take Toin Walker and JayWill for Marbs and somebody else? (Lee, Woods)

Know whats funny? I can see Giggy playing well under LB. Plays both forwards, rebounds well, great passer, teammates like him. I would take headache Shimmy for headache Mebury in a minute at this point

Last time Heat was in Charlotte I saw the game and we (section) just could not figure out the whole Walker thing.

He is awful! I know the stats are there, but to watchi him, the airballs, the turnovers, its just does not add up. The Threes are there when it don't count, but we all just shook our heads and ask "why?".

Airballs are part of his game. You have to take the bad with the good. Starks was notorious for shooting airballs (See Game 7 1994 Finals) but that didn't stop him. Walker is a competitor.
