Steve francis? Stephon Marbury? If Isiah pulled this off i would consider him a OK gm, we could draft a impact player at 5, maybe thoomas even drops there. I would love to do this!! Pull the trigger Isiah.

Possible Draft Choices
Gay
Aldridge
Thomas
Noah
redick
carney
bargnani

he might be able to trade stephon to toronto since it was colangelo who gave him that monster contract
''We don't have the luxury to take anybody lightly,'' New York's Quentin Richardson said. ''We're not that good.''

for either one of them you think we can get mike james in a sign and trade as well? or just some filler to match contracts...james and a #1 pick for either of those guys might be as good as we can get...although then of course we gotta move somebody else haha

Colangelo is smart. He's not gonna want our overpaid players. This is wishful thinking.

Rofl! I was just referring to Marbury and Francis. I'm sure we have plenty of players Colangelo would want (Frye, Nate, Lee, Butler, 2 2006 #1s)

Alvin WIlliams (cut), Mike James (with current value) and Eric Williams (a FA at the end of the season) for Francis works...pop in the 5 from Toronto and we may have something)...We can open up 2 spot (Cut Alvin Williams and Eric Williams)..Use Mike James and Jamal(or Q) in the back court starting next year, trade Steph for a package including Eddie Griffin and Trenton Hassell and some future picks and we may have something.

Toronto is under the cap. They're NOT going to use their cap space on Marbury or Francis. They'll get a role player PG and a young star this year or they'll wait 'til next year when Lebron, Melo, and Wade all may become available to team up with Bosh.

Steve Franchise is not going anywhere. Our only salvation is Statbury to Minny. We can use Nate as a trading chip. 3 guard rotation of Francis, Jamal and Q1 should be fine.

That would be devasting, no matter what you think of Marbury's attitude, he has outperformed Steve this year even before Franchise came here. Q1 is not even worth discussing. While Francis, Marbury and Jamal have little trade value, Q Rich has no trade value. Coming off his worst season, injury proned, and now all this talk about his bad back. That would be the first guy I would move then Marbury and Francis. I rather go into the season with Woods at the SF spot than Q Rich. Q Rich is consistent enough to be a starting 2 guard either, pretty hard to play that spot when the defense gives you the open look and rotates down to the post. Francis and Jamal could be worst than Marbury and jamal last year. A dishing pg may work well with Jamal and Q Woods. I don't know how much they are pursuing Jay Williams but they should go hard after him if he can play at 1/2 of his abilities.

Toronto needs a center....I think the Knicks can forget about getting Toronto's pick. They can easily trade for Magliore since the Bucks have Bogut and Gadzuric. Magliore is a Toronto native and a blue collar guy that woul dfit nicely between Charlie and Bosh.

But there is always Nate.....Nate might be able to pull Toronto's pick.....but that is wishful thinking.
