Yugoslavia vs. the U S of A tonight, 9 PM on ESPN2. I'll be watching the Giants, but be switching back when Vujanic is in. Let's see how he plays.

I heard like 8 teams called Layden after we drafted him to get him. If he blows up tonight we might get a few more calls.

and we should keep him instead of trading him because this team isnt getting any younger, and definitely needs some new talent that hasnt been around the block before.

I think we should go for whats best. Id keep him, but if someone want to offer us something great id jump at it.

for example if Seattle offered:
Payton
for
Spree + rights to Vujanic

id jump at it.

Fritz, thats a bad trade because Payton is shorter than Sprewell and we are already to small.

ok, back to Milos. I only caught bits and pieces of the game (and the Giants game) but did come away with a good impression. The guy has legit size and I was happily surprised that he started. He seems like a good passer and slasher, but needs to bulk up. Definitely has the outside shot.

Anyone else?

it was a retort to Fritz's knock on the Fortson deal saying it makes us shorter. While Travis Knight *is* a taller player he doesnt get any minutes anyway, and Fortson would, so whats the difference?

I was wondering if Falc realized how silly that logic is when you apply to other scenarios.

Sometimes, I am funny, but usually just stupid

I don't see him commanding any real time in the NBA any time soon to tel you thetruth. I felt he had all he could handle just trying to guard Andre Miller and the couple of times davis or Miller got into him he madea bad play. he looked very frail compared to those to guys. One thing is for sure--IF we bring in Milos next year [even if we trade ward] we will have three back ups. Since I highly doubt eisley is going anywhere and williams signed a 3 year contract---I think it would be in the Knicks best interests to shop him. I think somehow someway the Knicks will end up with damon after all is said and done and that really negates the need for milos anyway if you think about it. He has a decent shot and he has some height but lets be honest we can find a player like that if we tried hard enough almost yearly with a second rounder. I like some of the bigger yugos especially that kid who plays for spain who is 6-9--he's got starting NBA talent at the three right now.

I didn't think Milos played well, but I thought he held his ground. When you hold your ground against the top NBA PGs, well, that's something none of the other NYK points can say.
