dont get older--continue to stay with the young guys and add to their base--they have chemsitry + energy --its the older-expensive players that have caused the problems

unless i can get a KG or an upgrade young for young--ill let jamal crawford be the leader

and we keep

frye
curry
butler
nate
q woods
lee

let them stay together and add to them--no need to spend 100mm $ and trade away young guys for an all harrington--thats what has fcked the team up. i would take a boozer for frye but they wont do it

I think you add to those a decent PG (can it be Francis? I don't know, but if he's willing to play D and move the ball it could be), and a decent swing (I still don't like QRich but he has to be better than he was this year, and at least he's got fire), then that's a decent nine man rotation for me.

I said it on the game thread, but the Knicks best lineup to my eyes this year has been Nate-Craw-Woods-Lee-Butler. I wish one of Curry and Frye was an excellent defender (they both are excellent offensive bigs, but we're sort of doubling up there).

I agree Briggs. Jamal has transformed it seems, I know we've all seen it before but this time it seems like its sticking. It finally looks like that Larry has someone on the court that he can trust to speed things up and slow them down when the right time comes and if he can be the leader here that would be great. It seems like the younger guys have a great chemistry with Jamal as well, maybe they see his hardwork in the games and in practice.

Your other point I agree with as well. No to Al Harrington but yes to Boozer. Boozer has been playing great ball and he plays a unselfish kind of ball and his rebounding and defense would fit in beautifully here next to Eddy Curry. I'm hoping that Sloan and Larry Miller are fed up with him and just want to get the contract out. Probably a dream though.

can't understand why some would not want Booze. besides the scoring and power rebounding, you get a guy who can pass interior and out to the wings at the four spot.

ditch Marbury to Minnesota. the key will be if we can a productive defensive forward to play next to Curry. Eddie Griffin would be nice. I'd take Boozer, but not for Frye. I'd take Kmart, but not for Frye.

Id be more concerned about finding a defensive center to play with frye. why build around curry?

It's hard to argue with the "get more young guys plan." How about the tougher issues: What do you do with Eddy, Steph, Steve Jerome, and the expiring contracts?

Curry is a weapon you can win with. Get a defensive PF to play with him and Frye and they'll be fine.

edit: also, we're stuck with Curry, he's untradeable and after what we gave up for him, we're keeping him. he's not a bad piece to have either. as the Bulls showed - you can win with him playing a big role.
