Thought this should go on the NBA board, I felt I should post it here. This is absolutely pathetic. The US loses to Argentina 87-80. All those players who rejected the invitation (Kobe, AI, Ray Allen, Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Allan Houston) should be ashamed of themselves.

This could be a major turning point in basketball history.

I cant say I am surprised, this US team shows no heart when they play. Who cares if it isnt the best who will blow out any team they play - they still have anough talent to go all the way without losing - and they just proved they have zero in the heart department. You cannot play for 1 half and expect to win.

uhm, Duncan isn't an American, he's from the virgin islands

uhm, Kidd, Ray Ray and Shaq are all recuperating from injuries so no blame there. Tmac has a sore back so he has a good excuse as well.

uhm, AI has a bad PR so they won't ask him to represent USA I guess (did they ask him?)

Kobe, KG, Webber, Rasheed, GP (who did decline and who wasn't asked?)

Virgin Islands is a US territory. Thats why you can go there without a passport. And they use US money. Its part of the US technically. Plus you dont have to play for the team you were born.
