(Crawford) A guy who's bought into Brown's program, saying, "I'd be crazy not to listen to a guy that's a Hall of Famer and who's seen everything."
that really says it all right there.
jamal's development has been in the works for a while...since opening day in fact. he was benched unexplicably at the time but it was to be groomed as a pg in lb's system and more importantly, play with the second unit. since the second unit was comprised of many first and second year players, crawford then took on a leadership role with them. so by coming off the bench, learning to run the system and learning to lead the youth, lb's development plan for jamal is starting to pay dividends.
again, i said this from the beginning of the season ad nauseum - instead of investing all that time in steph to become a pg for lb, we were better off giving it to jamal and seeing if he could do it or not. he's still learning but he was always willing to learn.
my analogy - steph is a piece of granite that you have to chip away at, while jamal is clay that you try to mold...and can always add more clay too. it's an encouraging sign. he's not the answer by a longshot but it's an encouraging sign.
but everything happens for a reason. alot of people are upset with lb, and there's also a very good chance that those that lay blame on him the most are also fans of marbury. that's fine. but it is what it is. if lb stays, and he should, then steph will be traded. there's really nothing more to say.
