How can we have a roster of players that have never won before, some of them even causing problems with other coach's or not hustling with other teams during all this losing. Then when they come here, they don't hustle, cause problems and point fingers and blame systems. Instead of telling them to shut up or wishing they were gone we actually have fans that want them to get what they want. What is going on?????????? I'm so exasperated!!!!!

The Knicks have sunk so low that fans are starting to settle for a lower standard. Not worried about rebuilding and creating an atmosphere of positivity, hustle, achievement, grit, pride, stability and winning. Instead some seem to want an atmosphere of appeasement, nice stats, celebrating during losing and lack of effort. And when we lose we can just blame the coach or GM and fire yet another one. It's so weird to me because we watched the effort that Charles and John and Pat and Doc and Derek and the rest of the crew gave to us. Many of us grew up on that generation of all out effort and maximizing your own talent instead of worrying about systems and why you aren't getting your numbers. But instead of wanting to go back to that we seem to want to continue the same pattern of nonsense that has led to 7 years of pure hell.

We have gone through JVG, Herb, Don, Lenny, Herb and now LB. That's two hall of famers and a coach that was good enough to make it to a final. And another guy that one coach of the year. In all those firings nothing has changed. We continue to make our coach's impotent and give our power to players that don't have the ability to lead us anywhere.

I repeat, what is going on??????????????????????
I just hope that people will like me

it's an amazing study of society today. we may need marv to step in here.

well it's cumulative, right? when you have jamal and curry from a 23 win bulls team, and steph from a 20 win knick team, and francis from a 20 win magic team, you add the wins and get a 60 win season, right?

I mean "all that talent" adds up... I think.

It's such a multi-faceted problem. My biggest issue is with Larry Brown. I agree with whoever suggested that Larry Brown may not be able to coach in this league anymore. The way he tears into the players in the media is absolutely pathetic to me. He completly destroys confidence. At it's not just with the rookies. I mean look at what he's doing to Nate. It's un excusable in my book. Nate is a rookie for crying out loud. Of course he's going to make mistakes. And yeah they may be repeated but dang, at least he try's. LB is such a hypocrite. He keeps repeating how he just want guys who care and who will compete every night. Well hello, you have (probably more like had since he's since killed his confidence)in Nate. Anytime as a rookie you can go out and drop 30+ points on AI, to me that's says a little something. To me it says that he can compete in this league. But with LB around to tear him down. He has the drive, energy & competiveness. All he needs is a COACH who is going to be patient enough to channel his strengths.

Nate also said it's hard to please LB. Look at what happened against the Wizards. He didn't attempt any shots (yeah like one). Okay I'm sure he was kinda making a point or probably just showing frustration. Like what does LB want. If you tear him down that way without at least giving him so credit and acknowledging the good things he does, he's going to think that everything he does is just bad - hence not doing anything against the Wizards.

He did the same thing with Steph and Steph did the same thing as Nate.

Don't get me wrong, the players have a lot to do with what's going on as well. It's not just LB. They don't hustle, they've quit on him, etc. But what does that say about the Coach! An entire team has quit on him (he had Nate but he just blew that). To me that's a true indication as to where the blame squarely lays!

Can you tell that I'm fed up
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

I disagree. A whole entire team has not quit on him. Players like Jamal Crawford(who has progressed this year)Jackie Butler, Malik Rose, Quentin Richardson, David Lee, Qyntel Woods and Channing Frye before he was injured did not quit on Larry Brown. The guys like Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis who know NOTHING about Team-Basketball, as evident by their poor trackrecord in past years and their performances this year have quit on Larry Brown. These 2 guys (who have been known to be team cancers) quitting on Brown does not constitute as the whole team quitting on the coach, infact its quite the opposite, it shows just how much of a screwed up league this is where you can just stop playing your hardest because the coach wants you to run things a certain way. It's quite sad.

Hello...LB says it him self - No one Cares! He has not singled out ONE person to say that that person is hustling or doing exactly what he wants. When he says things like mind-boggling and does anyone care that leaves me to believe that no one on the team is playing the way he wants.

Well thats different then saying the team has quit on him. Ever since the day Larry Brown signed on to tbe coach here I knew that it was going to take awhile for the players to learn to play the way he wants but that is COMPLETELY different from what you said, which was that the whole team has quit on him.

I'm not just a Larry hater. I want the dude fired because of what I said in my signature below this post!

If Larry was playing the guys that deserved to play from day one the the roster could have been chopped up better than it is. How do you know what fits if there is no stability. If the team is being mixed and matched so much how can anybody know what the team needs?

This is gonna be a crazy off season.

I thought you were anti-Larry? switching size now??

I blame Larry for the reason ENYspree stated..

I blame Marbury for falling for the trap and talking trash to the media..

I blame I.Thomas for brining in J.Rose/S.Francis...

djsunyc, bip and others, it beats me!! All them larry -haters blaming him for this horrific season, is nonsense..

Watch next season when he makes changes on this team for the better.. The same larry-haters are gonna jump his bandwagon the moment the knicks are doing well..

people are gonna look back and realize that larry knows what the hell he's doing..

You're talking about 30 plus yrs of coaching experience.. I mean, c'mon larry-haters... You don't think he knows what he's doing??? watch for next yr, you'll be surprised how he'll turn this thing around...

of course we know what he's doing.

he's wants to do has bad has possible this season...so NEXT year, when the Knicks win 40 games with the same team...everyone can say how great he is and how much more improved the team is with him.

everyone will be hating Larry Lengend if the Knicks ended the season with the same record has last year....he is a smart man

you're already setting yourself up to be pissed no matter what happens next year. WHO CARES if he gets the credit? as long as the knicks win, that's all that matters. and it won't be the same team.
