I was very opposed to bringing in Webber but if we are just going to be taking players that don't fit the system it would have just made sense to take the guy and let and him rest the rest of last season and come back fresh because we already don't have tradeble players and Frye could have still contributed as the first big......
Maybe if we did this deal there wouldn't have been an urgency to sign JJ or make these desperate trades, i know he isn't great defensively but the guy does move the ball....
Also do you think Minny would have done a Cassel/Wally deal for steph last offseason had we offered it to them?
It would have given nate more of an opening next year as well

I agree. I really wanted Webber at last year's deadline because I knew we'd wind up with Francis and Dampier, well we didn't get Dampier but we got someone who's worse Jerome James!

I was opposed to getting Webber also but of course now I would have loved him over Rose and Francis, both of whom suck. CWebb, with his hobbled leg, is still getting 20 and 10 a night. Even playing with a ball-dominating AI. I'd even, tearfully however, be willing to have forgone JJ for CWebb.

webber would not be getting 20 & 10 with us or with LB as coach.
and wanting him to prevent us having gotten francis and rose is just wrong- almost like wishing for an appendage to be cut off so you couldn't get prostrate cancer...
