I would take that - but the odds of us getting KG are not very good.

Also, remember that teams usually never see a roster turnoverof this type of magnitude and if they do it is RARE. They will be tinkering with a roster that has already seen several makeovers and that is part of the problem here.

I would still make these moves though because I think it is a solid win now approach.

I really wish the lotto pick had 1-5 protection (shout out to Briggs thread on that). But there is no sense in complaining, this is what we have to work with and I hope something good comes of it all.

I think if kg demanded a trade then the knicks are the front runners to get him.

This year the bulls had the best chance in getting him because they had fugazy and his contract plus lots of youth and big men in excess. Same as the knicks but they had the better mix.

This off season the knicks will now be chock full of things Minnesota could use to start the post kg campaign.

Knicks got marbs and Francis to choose from. Then there is Nate the crowd pleaser. Craw or q-rich. Frye, or David lee. Jalens contract along with the two extra draft picks. The pot is full as far as getting kg. Its all on Herman munster.

The knicks have options to continue star phuching and bring up the rookies.

Will we win? After this season what the hell does anybody know?!!?

i think Marbury going to MIN is the much likelier possibility... i doubt Kevin McHale will want to be known as the GM who ran KG out of MIN... & the ownership will do what they can to appease him... if that means getting Marbury to return to MIN, they'll probably be willing to deal w/the Knicks.

Thing is who do the knicks get back? Now I'd love to get Ricky davis and a pick but marbs makes a lot of money. Minnesota has a team full of guys with 4-5 year contracts and they resemble players we already have.

I can't see marbs or Francis traded to Minnesota. At the same time if there is a GM that can make it work its isiah. There would have to be a few deals made to make the roster make sense before the season.

Who do you think would have better chemistry - Marbs and Davis or Francis and Davis?

I think its a toss up. Francis and Davis would probably feed off each other as far as the dunking and scoring goes. Marbs is the same but I think Marbs would pass alot more.

Marbs & Davis would have better chemistry i think... but the bigger question is whether Marbs or Francis would be a better fit for the system LB wants to run here... talent wise, Marbury is without a doubt, but attitude wise, i think i'd have to go with Francis.
