Some say they they dont want to touch this kid with a 10ft. pole. Some say he is the 2nd comming of Magic. His off court Marajana run ins and his lost season last year (only playing 29 games) has dragged his value through the mud. He is NY product and has express his love for NY and want to play here someday. If we still had Camby I think Clippers would be begging to get the packaged we offered before. Knick can definitely make a run at this kid. It may cost Kurt and pick but its well worth it. He would also solve our PG issues since he puts up great assist numbers. We would no longer need a great passer but only a slasher(Travis Best). He plays well on both sides of the ball. But his height at 6'10" he towers over most any SF in the league in exception to KG and Rashard. This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for Layden to vastly improve this team.

At last check, the Clips had Elton Brand, Chris Wilcox, and Melvin Ely. They refused to include Odom in talks for Andre Miller, so I seriously doubt they'd give him up, and that's what they'd be doing, giving him up, for Kurt Thomas (another PF), and picks. Come on.

Cavs refused to take Odom. Clipps offered Wilcox + Odom and they refused. They wanted Miles and settled for Harold Jameson. Clipps wanted to get rid of Odom but the Clipps didnt want to take a chance on him.

i would be willing to part with future number 1's for odom and any player(s) (except dyce) of their choosing. at 6'10 with point guard like skills, he could be our starting center, pf, sf, sg, or pg. i say go for it but sadly, i doubt we can land him. =(

I'm with Tennis on this one - This sounds, however, like the kind of surprise move that Scotty could be concocting - Just like the Dice deal- That NOBODY predicted...

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom, slow to recover from an ankle injury last season, has hurt the ankle again during a rehab workout.

The 22-year-old Odom had a cast placed on his right ankle Monday, and he's expected to be unable to work out for up to 12 weeks.

He played in just 29 games last season. He first was sidelined by a wrist injury, then sprained his right ankle Feb. 14. He has been undergoing rehab for the ankle, but twisted it again during a recent workout.

Odom averaged 13.1 points and 7.5 rebounds during his limited appearances last season.

-- I would give a future first rounder but I WOULD NOT give up Spree or DICE... It would be stupid to take a gamble on a frail guy like this at the same time giving up a solid player in Spree... I do agree with you guys though.. NOW IS THE TIME TO GO AFTER HIM... I think we could pull it off since he will probably start this season on the IR. His value could not go down any further...
