He wouldn't do that with Larry as his coach.

Frye had 30 point games and then hardly played.

I really would have liked to see what this season would have looked like with any other coach in the world.

from the time of his last 30 point game thru the end of Feb (26 games) Frye got 24 mpg - which is 2 minutes less than what he was getting prior and still tops amongst pfs on NY.

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/channing_frye/index.html

Perhap the reason his production fell off is because teams started to pay more attention to him and took away his primary method of scoring and FRYE COULDN'T ADJUST.

Same here.

I think George Karl would love to have the knicks. George says he gates when guys hold the ball. The knicks are a yesm full of creators so I think he would be a good fit.

Rick adelman is another guy that some already mentioned.

No games with those guys just basketball.

Rookie wall. That's why I ignore most of this Frye is not as good as Lee stuff because it is ridculous. One guy has been playing for most of a season while the guy has been riding the bench. Malik, Marbury and Brown all said that Frye ran into the wall about a month and half ago. Not surprising that Granger is coming on because of the injury he had time to save his legs. I think it says a sad state for the big men in the draft that a slumping Frye and now injured Frye will still look more impressive in the rookie season. I give him credit Brown did say that Frye will hit the wall. If you looked at Frye he looked tired before he stepped on the court.

i think Charlie V definitely was a good pick at #7... TOR did a great job in scouting him & taking him that high when everyone was questioning their logic in taking a projected PF when they already had Bosh... they made him into a nice 3, & he's been great for them... he's got the mobility to guard other 3's, & the height & shooting ability to cause mismatches on the other end... he's going to be an Allstar in no time.

exactly and the fact that charlies defense is twice as worse as frye, he would never get off browns bench....

i don't think his defense is that awful... Frye's pretty damn clueless on D in his own right... Charlie's got more lateral quickness & he's averaging more steals than Frye... they're both about equal in the shotblocking department.

That's just based on stats. I live near Toronto and have watched a lot of Raptors' games. I like both Frye and Charlie very much. I think they're both wonderful prospects. However, both struggle on defense. I'd say they're both about equally poor on defense. (And I don't think either is a huge defensive liability; they're just below average defenders right now.) I like Frye a lot but would take Charlie over him because he's younger, has more upside, and is more versatile.

whether he has more upside is debateable... he's definitely more versatile, & like i said, the difference in their defensive abilities isn't that noticeable to say 1 is twice as worse than the other.
