I'm at a total loss, we have such a talanted roster, a hall of fame coach, a great gm who's best attribute is his knack for picking star draft picks, an owner who has an unlimited amount of money, a star pg, a center who has unlimited potential, a bench that usually out scores every team they play, a coaching staff of seven, big man coach, defensive caoch, perimeter coach.

Folks this is more baffling then larry's substitute patterns. There are a lot of knowledgable fans on this forum, we have close to 6 beat righters that cover the knicks daily, and yet nobody (including myself) seems to know wtf is going on here.

Chemistry seems to be the only explanation. How do you not buy into a hall of fame coach who has been so successfull on every level? How do you study film every single day, and come out and play the same way the very next game? how do u beat the best team in the nba and not use that as motivation.

GOT TO GO = Curry, Steph, J Rose, James.

Got to stay = Nate, Frye, M Rose Crawford, Q.

Everybody else is a toss up.

I hate M Rose, but I love his enthusiasim, and effort,

Steph is a great player who's still concern about his 20 and 8 ( stats)
Curry is just not a smart player at all.
jalan can't guard anybody at the 3 positions he can play pg, sf, sg.

The 5 guys that i pick to stay are simply the most coachable players we have including LEE.

Lee and francis are simply solid trade bait.

What do u guys think

everyone has their own explanation. some say its isiah. some say its brown. others steph. others the players. I for one think its all of them. I blame ISiah for assembling a mismatched, defensively deprived roster, and then hiring a defensive minded coach. brown for not coaching his personelle and changing lineups seemingly pointlessly. and marbury for not fully buying into the system like crawford and q appharently have.

I don't think there's really a logical explanation, but....

This year, we had a new coach and several new players. We had a brief period of success ended by an injury to Marbury, and we had yet more trades, changing the roster yet again.

Isiah has done his best, I think, to always get the best people available, no matter what the cost. Unfortunately this has resulted in a bad mix of players and coaching staff. Isiah, and the Knicks, might have benefited from having to make do with less.

rebuilding...

I feel that we had a solid draft, adding 3 new veterans. We had 6 players 22 and younger on the roster.

We added Curry, QRich and JJ to the mix and each appeared to be out of shape.

We added a new coach and new system.

A culture of losing which is finally(hopefully) coming to it's conclusion. Pitting GM's, coach's and players against each other has led us to crazy moves by GM's, coach's doing wacky stuff and players worried more about themselve's than team.

When that culture goes away you will once again see players diving for loose balls, coach's with set rotations and minutes and GM's signing players specifically suited for the coach. We can try to rush it, but it will not happen before this change no matter who is coach, GM or players.
I just hope that people will like me
