then that is the player we should try as hard as we can to move up to get. Were not getting Ty Thomas Obryant etc.. or any other top 10 pick and I still HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that at the end of the day Williams will actually fall, but he could, just like Boozer did because of the so-called under-sized thing. We should see how far we can move up anyway just target 3-4 players and try to move up and get 1 of them instead of rolling dice at 23 and 29.

i agree, shelden is exactly what we need for this team. he is a great shot blocker/rebounder and is very intelligent, if he is on the board wherever we end up picking he should be the guy.

That's what Id like to do--move up for just one guy.

If we do stay back, I tend to think Id like to look at a Richard Roby Paul Millsap PJ Tucker Quincy Douby Craig Smith--much more of a high end skill player or true intengible player with toughness and D. I might even throw Bobby Jones from Wash in there--we need some guys who can play D.

dude, i said if he was on the board, when/where we end up picking. i dont know where we will be picking at this point, but i feel if shelden IS on the board we should pick him, i wasnt saying he should be the only guy we look at.

There are other kids to that would go on my personal list--it might be in our best interests for isiah to *reach* a player like Al horford or Corey brewer and off them pick 23--these are higher end players who may not come out--there are a few of those for sure Leon Powe

you know if we guarantee a first round pick to a player with a higher potential who may sit in school, even if that kid ultimately didnt make it to our pick, he would drop someone more attractive above us.

You don't think Minny would give us their junk contracts and pick #9 for Marbury and our one more maybe both of our late 1st rd picks? I'm sure Minny would rather have Marbury playing with Garnett and have two late 1st rd picks than have the #9 pick.

Not so sure. #9 is a good pick. Can get a good guard with that.
What do they want with Marbury since we don't want him.

Good post. Trade up for a 4 in the draft. I'd use Nate and both picks to get Ty Thomas or Shelden Williams.

I'd then go hard after a perimeter defender. We have pieces we can trade. Would Atlanta want Stevie Francis to run the point for them? Childress would be great under Brown. Would Memphis want Marbury for Eddie Jones and D Jones, who I think would be great under LB. We need to start getting young leaders that went to school at solid programs and play both ends of the court.

I would trade Lee for Duhon straight up. He is the perfect pass first, defensive pg that would thrive in LB's system. The guy was captain of the Bulls in 2nd year in the league. He's the locker room leader we need.

Duhon
Childress Crawford
Rose D Jones
Williams Frye
Curry Butler

That's the type of 8 or 9 man rotation we should focus on. Obviously we won't get exactly these players but there are quite a few of guys like them around the league.
