Oh MIKE James! Well no wonder, Steph was told he was guarding RICK James. He kept looking all over the court for him.

boy a picture says a 1000 words.

I dont blame these guys for just going through the motions at this point. Hell.. the end is year, and they just want to move on. They are human, I understand. I do think the guys that WANT to play should be getting more time at this point in the season and I think some of thats happening (See QWoods last night)

Steph...guarding...I didn't see the game, but um...is that a trick question? Did yopu mean to ask who Steph was turnstiling (yeah it sounds dirty, but I I actually verbized turnstile.)

What did you expect from the worst defensive guard in the league.

well there is a strong contingent of guys that defend Marbury come hell or high water. Earl, Rv, Holfresh, Nixluva to name a few.

We have seen games like this all year, and we saw them last year also. I cant tell you how many time Steph got beat off the dribble, turned and yelled at Nazr. Unreal.

Night in an night out oppsing PGs have monster nights against us. I have absolutly zero doubt we would be a better team with a guy like Marcus Banks at the PG. So long as Marbury gives these kinds of efforts he deserves to be booed, blamed and shipped out. This is just more of the same from him. Its sad

Fish I am so with you on Marcus Banks it's unreal. I actually found myself wondering if we could trade Marbury or Francis for Jamal Mash's contract and Willie Green or something.

marbury must think matador d is a good thing.

The funny thing is watching both Marbury and Francis follow guards around picks, you wonder are they that slow? Then, on offense, they move a lot quicker.

Its lack of effort and its sad and other teams have realized how to exploit the team.

ID like it if he raised his hands sometimes.

Steph gives up too easy at times when beat.

Kinda like a tennis player down 40-love and just playing to the net set. Why try? I understand its part of the pro game, but additional pressure can change a shot, and in a close game it can spell the difference.

Remember the block form behind prince made on Reggie that determined the series and Detroits season 2 years ago? That does not just come about in the playoffs, it must be practiced and burned into a players regimen of hard work. ANd which coach gave prince his chance? Hmmm, I wonder whom.

I don't think it's a lack of effort, but more so a lack of concentration. They do decent staying with their man, they get caught in a pick, get thrown out of their rhythm, and boom. Aferall, most of defense IS about concentration, afterall. I think the concentration thing is something to worry about equally though.

However, I think Stephon does NOT have the lateral quickness anymore, to guard those quicker guards.

It has nothing to do with his lateral quickness. Stephon has NEVER committed to playing defense.

dude, Steph makes Tyronn Lue look like Allen Iverson & Milt Palacio look like Dwayne Wade... it's freakin' ridiculous. (to be fair, Mike James is alot more talented a player than either 1 of those scrubs & really does remind me of Hardaway back in his day in alot of his mannerisms & the form he has on his jumpshot, but you know what i'm getting at)

can't forget Dan Dickau who led the 3-20-something Hornets past Steph and NY at the Garden days after Steph's "I'm the best PG in the league" delusional.

Stephon: "Dang. Can't wait for this season to be over, nah mean?"

Steve: "Don't talk to me. I'm still mad at you for standing me up last night."

Stephon: "Aw, c'mon baby. You know there ain't no one else."

Steve: "Hmmph."

Must be why Marbury was overheard muttering "I'm MIKE James' B*tch!".

fish.mike - where have I ever "defended" Marbury?

Marbury gets heat is he deserves it. Just like everyone else.

Marbury should not be cast as the scapegoat for this season. Nor should Steve Francis,, who is already haering boos from the "knowledegble" Knicks home crowd.

If anyone, I've been campaigning for Qyntel Woods and David Lee. Let's review. I've been questioning Larry Browns season-long audition process. I have called into question the media's agenda to link as much negative stereotyping to Isiah Thomas, despite his positive moves... Channing Frye, Eddy Curry, David Lee, Jamal Crawford, Nate and Jackie Butler among them...

Please don't put words in my mouth. I can do that for myself.
