You are on crack, because after 1999, Houston's defense was non-existent! I dont see the point of this thread anyway. What are you trying to say? Stephon and Francis dont play defense? Who is arguing that? This is going to turn into a "I remember this" and "I remember that thread!

Yes. At least he tried, and it wasn't non existant. It was about average. People didn't score at will on him. You're going to have to have 2 phenominal shot blockers to make up for their lack of D, and then you have Jamal!

Steph played good defense for about 80% of this season. After the shoulder injury his entire game has suffered.

i'd have no problem w/Steph if he played defense on a consistent basis & showed the type of killer instinct that a guy like Mike James shows... just because he gets paid like a superstar doesn't make him one.

actualy i agree with you allanfan, H20's defense is underated. he wasnt great but he was far from terrible, he gave effort. which steph and franchise do not.

Completely agree, Steph tries 10% of the time on D, I'll take Houston's D since he tried 100% of the time.

No, Houston tried 100% of the time his last couple of healthy years, but there were many times when he just gave up. He was about an average defender. Even saying he was underrated is a little over the top though. But he still tried at it as he got older.
