Why would Memphis take Steph's contract for an expiring contract? Why would Isiah want a 35 year old player for a player in his prime? Why would Isiah want another late round pick in a weak draft....Why would the Knicks want to add the 4th or 5th, if you count Nate, shooting guard to the roster? How does this make sense? except for those who want Steph out of town...

I proposed something like Steph/Q for Eddie/Cardinal. If you really want to get rid of Steph, why not do it for an expiring contract and a guy that plays D.

If he is as valuable to a teams success as you say he is, Memphis should run with this no?

Why do you think that the Knicks are trying to acquire more picks. If you believe Brown at all and I know that is hard, the guy made public statements that they are young enough, they want to get older. No more rookies, doesn't care about not getting a high pick because they were going to use it to acquire veteran help. If he is running player personel like that, then you have to believe him when he puts in his own age limit. The guy doesn't want to teach. Van Gundy was the same way, he convinced Grunfeld to trade the 96 rookie class in 97 for veterans. JVG said he doesn't get rookies or younger players.

No way. I'm sure that they do not want to bring back an enviroment that has any potential to explode like this year. Marbury will be 30+ next year with a ton of mileage on him. He still has value --imho--like i outlined--pick and eddie jones.

its not really about what we can get for Marbury, its more about moving away from this years circus. you need a winning environement to win and Marbury is not mature enough to do so. A pick could be a future 1

Now that is something I'd LOVE to see...Steph going from Lary Brown to Larry Brown Light....Well, I guess if you can't beat the master go for junior...

You kidding me pharzeone...they only believe what they want to believe, brown has said one contradictary statement after another and it's glossed over, but heck, they bring up marbury's best point guard quote every three posts.

Why would Memphis give up a pick and a great role player for Marbury? They could keep the pick, keep the great role player, and for one-fourth and much less "baggage" the price get an 18/6 PG with great defense in Mike James. No doubt Marbury's more talented than James. But the difference is not worth a great role player, a 1st rd pick, and $15 mil per season.

memphis wouldnt do this. marbury is too well paid, and has personality issues.

Look, there is a reason teams dump Marbury. Its not beause he is not good enough to be your starting PG, its because he is not good enough to build around, and with his salary, and his atitude of having to be the man, if you have him, in order for him to be effective, you have oto build around him. And thats just not good enough.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
