It has nothing to do with that. Francis has never been as good a perimeter shooter or passer as Marbury.

Marbury is not a better passer:

Marbury may be better at that drive and kick stuff but Francis is the better interior passer by far. The lob is Steve's specialty and he knows when to throw it and where to place it be it for a guard or big man. Marbury can't accurately throw the lob at any distance to anybody.

And as for the shooting, francis may not have Steph's jmper but he is decent enough from 15 feet and is more explosive going to the rim.

I think it's the exact opposite. I see countless times where Marbury could finish himself but passes instead. I've also seen countless times where Francis just dribbles into defenders, including on fast breaks, rather than passing.
