I apologize if this has been answered, but based on what these two have shown this season, would other teams be willing to use their MLE or LLE to pursue either? In other words, would we need to offer them more than the minimum to keep them around? If so, would it be worth it?

To me, both are very much works in progress. They have a while to go before they become integral parts of any NBA rotation, but they've shown good potential and are definitely worth keeping around for the future IMO. I'd rather watch hardworking, young guys like these 2 develop than watch our other overpaid bums stink up the joint.

i think both of them will be on the roster next year... LB likes both of them & they can be signed on the cheap... i agree w/u, i hope we keep hardworking guys like this & get rid of the overpaid bums like Jerome James, but we'll probably have to deal w/having him taking up roster spots on the IR once again cuz no one's taking him off our hands.

I would think they might be looking at Steven Hunter kind of money- so I would think we would need to allocate the MLE between them.

i don't see it... teams will pay more for a 7 footer w/shotblocking ability than a 6'8" backup swingman like Q... i think u can get Q Woods on a LLE type deal... i don't see Butler commanding a multi-million dollar deal yet cuz he hasn't shown enough to other teams to warrant much interest... he can probably be had for another minimum level 1 year type deal, & then if he blows up next year, he'll be looking at bigger money down the road.

I know Jerome is big but I think he'll only take up one roster spot.

not only that, with the SIZE of some of the deals, how do we give up more players than we take back? there are too many players on this roster and some will have go just to facillitate moving some of the big contract guys. it's a shame.

as for the two picks - i don't think we're going to be using them on players.
