McK1 - Why not bless the entire planet and simply buy out Isiah's contract if he's that incompetent?

Unleash the Qyntel Woods, David Lee, Jackie Butler frontcourt!!!

I'm sure the rest of the NBA is shaking in their hightops over that one.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Islesfan - you slay me.

People, including Larry Brown, talk constantly about players who will play aggressive defense, share the ball and think team first. I identify three players who conform to that philosophy and best you can do is throw a mud ball at them?

What do you REALLY have against my man David Lee anyway?

Fess up.

I like David Lee a lot. And I even like Butler a little (don't ask me about Woods), but I understand their limitations and don't find it at all necessary to make them out to be better than they are, if for no other reason than to try to justify the harm that Isiah has perpetrated on this franchise.

Islesfan - how did Isiah creep into the conversation?

"Make" Lee, Butler and Woods better than they are?

No. I look at their recent bright moment as just that. A tiny reason to be encouraged for their collective futures. Nothing more. YOU might need to look in the mirror to discover the person with the consistently pessimistic agenda.

What is the problem with allowing the Knicks players who are 25 and under the space to be as good as they can be?

No, never mind... you can just bleat about how much they all suck.

Earl, I think you might be responsible for the watershed moment of UltimateKnicks.com. I have never seen Islefan say anything positive about the Knicks.

David Lee has read this and is now hiding under his bed.

Marv - even Islesfan cannot totally hate on the Knicks Freshman Class.

Despite all the frustration, doom and gloom which has been the theme of the season - how can anyone insist on dropping dirt bombs on the Knicks rookies?

Certainly, Nate - Frye and Lee all have individual flaws, but isn't that a standard pre-requisite of BEING a rookie unless you are Kareem, Doctor J or Bill Russell?

Nate plays with a fire in his belly and has no fear.

Frye is coachable, extremely intelligent and fundamentally sound.

Lee is intuitive, has quick recognition and athletic.

High schooler, Jackie Butler (20), for all practical purposes, is a rookie. This would be his junior year in college. He is staring to hold his head higher.

The repentant and improved edition of Qyntel Woods is earning the most minutes of his pro career and repaying Larry Brown with a few tasty highlights and unselfish play. He's what, 25?

I can live with that five as a small reason to look forward with hope.

Just for kicks, spread a year of experience and vlauable playing time across that five ... then add Josh Boone OR Hilton Armstrong to that crew -

or, go mad-crazy-stupid and add Al Harrington

...and you tell me if you want to enncourage them and watch them grow....

... or you want to hurl insults at them?

Walk around in your miserable, depressed fog and complain about whatever you like fish.mike

The young guys can play and Jamal does not suck

All he needed was to block out trying to be perfect for Larry and regain his confidence
