he plays LB ball much more than either francis or marbury, he is not as good right now but he plays with the team, has energy and plays DEFENSE. he reminded me a little of sprewell tonight in how he played, i know he's not similar as a player but his energy was great. if we can get a big guard to start with him (maybe Jaric in a minnesota deal), i think it would be good for him to start, trade both steve and marbury.

i agree with you NYKfan1.. he's not only a sparkplug but he's a fierce competitor with alot of heart.. he plays with fire and shows toughness..

i had said earlier in a previous thread that most of the players on the knicks can't handle criticism with their coach..

Nate use to get critcize alot by larry but took it real well.. unlike marbury , who takes it personal..

he still needs to work on his decision making though, but I definately like his attitude. thats why I wish the knicks would just freaking rebuild already, with LB as the coach Im not sure if nate will get that many minutes despite his spirited play.

as long as he shows the fire, compete, works hard and listens to coach brown, he'll be ok.. you must remember that he's a 22yrs old rookie but he'll grow in becoming a better player.. ex. tayshaun prince from the pistons who also was a rookie but is playing very well now..

he too listened to coach brown, compete and work hard..

Right now I think that Nate is the only killer we have on the roster - he has to be in EVERY game for the full fourth quarter. I'm cool with him not starting, let marbs and francis keep us close in the first half.

We all love Nate but............

The more he plays the more his poor decisions hurts us. That will change as he matures. And as is the nature of competitive sports, as he matures his minutes will increase. No need to rush. Rushing hampers development, not hastens it. Just ask Eddie Curry, Jamal Crawford, Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury etc. If you are given stardom and minutes before you earn them it only hurts you. Let's let Nate develop at his own pace. He will get more time next year but I probably will not be PG ready(if ever), which hampers his ability to start. But he will help us in the long run.
I just hope that people will like me

great post. I think this has been a very positive year for Frye, Lee, JB and Nate. All have played more minutes than they would in a college year

Nate's a great sparkplug guy to have coming off the bench... if you started him at PG you'd begin to realize his severe shortcomings in terms of knowing how to run an offense, making smart decisions w/the ball & clock management, which Kenny the Jet kept harping on last night... Nate would be a great guy to be playing behind a smart veteran like Brevin Knight who plays a good fundamental style game & team oriented style ball... he needs to learn from someone like that... not from a guy who calls himself "Starbury".

Nate is learning. His benchings have purpose. Its not like he has been there all year long and being denied opportunity.

Kenny smith was good last nite describing his weakness'. He deserves minutes, and is improving.

I would still trade him. Not because I don't like him, but because we need him included in a deal to make it happen.

Nate is proud to wear that Knicks uni, it shows in his game and demeanor. This team needs more players with that swagger.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

he reminds me of Starks sometimes, another guy who was proud to wear the Knicks uniform & showed it on the court.

People seem to forget that Nate did start plenty this year. Then for some reason he was buried.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

i look at nate and lee and see them as untouchable.......

frye im not so sure about it. but he's worth keeping around b/c he can shoot.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

yeah, frye's really been slumping lately, I hope he can brake out of it soon, but knowing Isiah, frye will probably be traded this summer in a package for al harington, or some stupid trade like that.
