While I have stated my case against Marbury I have to agree Brown has issues too. The first being that he is extremely overrated and the Olympics are a prime example of this. Is anyone surprised at this season? Brown may have a good resume but he also has tons of question marks too. The Championship and the return to the finals have pulled the wool over some peoples eyes about this guys true talent. Sure he makes teams better - but he is also destructive. If he is running some type of agenda to get Isiah out and himself into the GM spot - I give the man zero respect. He could have just gone somewhere else and gotten both jobs. You also dont sabotage a team for your ego, your agenda, etc.
There are many plusses and minuses to having Brown as coach. I think most would agree this team needed a strong presence on the sidelines - Brown may have been a little too strong for them. I am not trying to hate on him but I definitely think there are a lot of reasons to have reservations about this guys ability to fix this situation moving forward.
I dont think Isiah made a mistake in taking him in as coach though - it was him or Jax and Jax wasnt coming so had he not signed Brown he would have been killed in the media.

lower caps now working..
at this stage in his coaching career, he's better off coaching a veteran team.. Brown is 65 yr of age and no longer have the patience for a young team..
If you look @ the teams he's had success, they were a savvy , hungry mentally tough team . mostly veterans..
the olyimpics wasn't his fault.. thats an issue witht the league selection of players.
it's more isiah's fault cause he did not obtain larry brown typed players. zeke decided to pick young athelic players who plays no defense and not strong minded.. most of them don't know how to react when being critcized by the coach via media.. ex. ariza. where is he now???
these players can't handle larry brown or his ways..
The Future. GO KNICKS!
