Holy ***t, what the hell happened to this guy. He is suddenly extremely motivated and is quickly becoming a star for phoenix. Has 19 pts tonight and there is 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter. He is 8-8 from the field and there were a lot of jumpshots that he drained. He was also 3-3 from downtown. How come we couldn't motivate him, he is putting up all-star numbers now. Imagine how he will do with amare back, it will be amazing. I wish we kept him now. Maybe the mle if he plays like this again.

He's playing with a real PG now.

I'm telling you, Isiah is going to sign him to a max MLE deal this summer. Just watch.

luckily playing with Nash will sour Tim on any team that features Statbury or Crawful as its lead ball-handlers

Goes to show you great of an offensive system that D'Antoni runs. Anyone can be put into that starting lineup and score and win on that team. Boy, Stephon Marbury couldn't buy into that system?

Makes alot of sense...Steph couldn't buy into a run and gun system....

It tells me that Marbury is such a bad influence that he kills his teammates' siblings (Thomas's sister last season, Q's brother this season). How does he do it, you ask? With his scowl.

Tim is and always has been very talented. He's played well in his post season games and in big spots. He had a slow start for us but had a very strong finish. He was key in a great many late comebacks for us that year. Hard to forget that great game against the Bucks where he was killed by KVH in the first half and the Knicks rode him to overcome a 20 point deficiet as he embarrassed Keith and the Bucks in that game.

Two thing Tim can do with most anyone in the league... run and score. So long as he doesnt have to play D in the half court or do much that involves physical contact with other players he's a good piece.

The stuff about Marbury and Antoni's system is fair. He doesnt like Larry's (winner), he doesnt like Antoni's (winner). Who's did he like? Flip's

Why do you think they shipped him out? Look at the quotes from him and Penny Hardaway after they left. Hardaway was extremely against the new system, as was Steph. Might not make sense to you but thats not surprising.

And just a few months before they traded Marbury, Colangelo gave him about 100 mil dollars because he thought he fit the system so well. Then Amare and Marion get injured and it's amazing how bad your PG will look. Marbury has flaws but I really can't criticize him for anything he did *on* the court in Phoenix.

what are you talking about

Shawn Marion 79 games played that season and Amare was healthy at the beginning of the season too. Joe Johnson played every game that season as well.

Frank Johnson was the coach at the time of the 100 mill resigning. Much different coaching philosophy.

1 of D'Antoni's first comments aftr taking over basically said he thought Steph was a 2 and ots to a teams detriment to have him control the ball. blueseasts has a thread over on realgm with all the comments in 1 post.

With Freedom comes responsability.

Look at the quality players whom critique the LB way. Guys with a winning background?

Penny was critical of Larry? That is humor!

Why was Detroit or any of larrys team successful? Defense!

Rememember the 1990's? Our teams offense was putrid, but it was the D that won.

1970's? If you listen in the quiet of the garden, you can still hear the chants!

I said we would miss TTs outside shot and I think we have. he's a decent player in a great system with a fun guy to play with in nash.

marbury either never got D'Antoni's system because he wasn't there long enough to learn or he isn't smart enough.

I think its the latter and until he changes his approach to the game and becomes humbler, he will always be a team cancer
