"We're losing games because we're not guarding, we're not sharing the ball, we're not taking care of the ball and we're putting people on the free-throw line. And I didn't have that problem in Philly, I didn't have that problem in Detroit, I didn't have that problem in Indiana, I didn't have that problem in San Antonio, I didn't have that problem with the L.A. Clippers, I didn't have that problem with the New Jersey Nets."
were we guarding at any point during the season? no.
were we sharing the ball during the season? on rare occasions.
were we taking care of the ball at any point during the season? no.
do we put people at the FT line? yes.
so we can't play defense - all of us would agree on that.
we don't share the ball well - indicative of the many shoot-first players we have.
we don't take care of the ball - indicative of the low IQ players we have.
we send teams to the FT line - a lesser evil but another byproduct of no defense.
i believe that defense, taking care of the ball, and fouling are not effected by constant lineup shuffles or rotations. i do believe sharing the ball is effected but putting points up on the board doesn't rank high on problems that need to be addressed.
4 reasons why we lost many a game this season.
